Talking in your sleep

Chapter 16

"Iwa chan" the boy murmured stiring from his sleep. Iwa jumped slightly whilst still grasping his friends hand tightly, "Kawa, you're going to be fine. How does your knee feel?" he asked softly. "It's throbbing a little, but I'm okay" the boy replied with a small smile, "thank you for staying with me Iwa chan". "I didn't want you to wake up alone and be scared" Iwa smiled. "Kawa, I need to talk to you about something". "Ok Iwa, I'm listening" the boy replied.

Before Iwa could continue the door flew open and in walked the whole Aoba Johsai team along with Suga and Akaashi. "How is our wounded soldier?" Makki asked. "I'm ok thank you" Kawa replied.

The doctor was the next person to enter the room, "how are you feeling now Tooru?" "I'm fine thank you sir". "Ok you can go back to your sleeping quarters and make sure that you rest your knee for the next few days" the doctor instructed. "Thank you" the boy replied as the doctor left the room.

The Aoba Johsai boys wanted to help Tooru walk back to his quarters but Iwa wasn't having any of it. He turned to his team mates and gave them all orders. " Yahaba and Kyoutani. Go and find as much milk bread as you can and take it back to our room. Kunimi and Kindaichi go and pick up bento and green tea for Tooru and I". "Ooooo, it's Tooru now, is it?" Makki asked whilst looking at a blushing Oikawa and Iwaizumi. " Don't mess with me Makki" the boy replied.

"Makki, Matsun and Watari. Go to our room and make sure that Kawa's favourite pyjamas are ready and that the room is neat and tidy". "Erm, excuse me Iwa chan" Matsun joked, "what will you be doing?" "I am going to carry Kawa back to our room" the boy responded. Kawa looked like he would combust, he was so red.

Iwa stood up and knelt down in front of his friend, "hop on Kawa and let's get you back to our room." "I can walk back Iwa chan, you don't have to carry me. As long as I take my time I'll be ok" Iwa looked at the boy and replied, "I AM carrying you, so stop arguing and get on". Kawa gave up and got onto his friends back.

"Thank you, for not leaving me alone Iwa" the brunette said quietly whilst burying his face in the nape of Iwa's neck. The spikey haired boy felt his friends warm breath and it sent a shiver down his spine. "Your welcome Tooru. I was really worried about you. I hate seeing you hurt like that, even though I try and hide it, I do care about you. The fact is ......

"Hey guys" Bokuto shouted. Iwa was pissed, every time he tried to make his friend aware of his feelings someone always managed to stop him. "What's up Bokuto?" Iwa asked. "I just wanted to see how Kawa is" the energetic boy replied, "and to tell you that everyone is sat in your teams sleeping area to play the next game". "Kawa needs rest not a group of idiots bothering him" Iwa replied, obviously irritated. "It's ok Iwa chan, It'll be fun".

As they walked into the sleeping area they noticed the gang of boys from the night before sitting around in a circle. Iwa placed Kawa gently on the floor next to Suga and sat beside him. "We're so happy that you're ok Kawa" the silver haired boy said smiling at his friend. "Thanks Suga. Do you know what game we're playing? "

"We're playing spin the bottle" Bokuto shouted excitedly, "and Kawa's gonna go first" Oikawa reached for the bottle and spun it around. The bottle eventually stopped and the boy thought, " No no no no".
