~Chapter 8~

Kate's pov
I woke up to the sun blinding me. When my eyes finally adjusted I seen a shadow and jumped. Natalie's obnoxious laughter filled the room "very funny, Nat"
"Yea I thought so too"
She stuck her tongue out at me "c'mon we need to do a video." I groaned and looked at the time "why are you so hyper at 7:30 in the morning." Natalie just smiled "you had sugar didn't you?" She nodded repeatedly "I swear your sugar highs are one of the most entertaining things in the world." She was practically bouncing up and down when we were getting set up.
"Hello people of earth I am The gamer chic and I'm joined by Natattack." "And I'm dreading today's challenge." "I'm actually excited about it." "Kate you would like it hot stuff never bothers you." I laughed while Nat complained "Anyway onto the challenge every time we open a chest we have to take a bite of a pepper." "Who ever suggested this I really dislike you right now." We both laughed "I'm kidding I could never hate you guys." "Did you want to try and loot the chests at spawn?" Natalie asked trying to make a game plan. "Nah it's too much of a risk and it could be a wasted chest." "Good point I'd rather not eat a pepper for nothing." I found a chest and opened it "I got an iron sword" "you're such a showoff." Natalie laughed. I took a bite of a pepper and kept going. "Ugh I'm too scared to open this chest." "Dun, dun, dun, dun,dun." "This isn't jaws, Kate" We both laughed "Go big or go home." "Well here goes nothing. I FOUND A DIAMOND SWORD!" "Whose the show off now?" I asked with a smirk "Oh shut up." In the end Natalie ended up slaying everyone. The whole time we were recording I couldn't help but think of my mom. My passion now made me feel guilty, and I hated that feeling. I did my best to fake happiness for the sake of the fans and Natalie, but I think she noticed. "Wanna go see her?" She asked and smiled sympathetically at me. My mouth got to dry to talk so I just nodded.

Michaels pov
I sighed as I played another note wrong. "Mikey, you ok man?" Luke asked "huh oh yea,um can we rehearse some other time?" "Yea go take a walk or something you need it." Ashton replied maybe a walk would help. I walked a few blocks and found an old park. I sat on one of the swings and debated on texting Kate. She usually made me feel better, but I don't want her to think I'm clingy. She wouldn't think I'm clingy though, I mean friends text friends right? I heard my phone make a sound well I can't take it back now. "Hey, what's up?" I was shocked at how fast she replied. "Just left the hospital." After reading her message I felt horrible. Here I am upset about a bad day when her mom is in a coma. "I'm at the park you should come over." A few minutes later she pulled in, when she got out it was obvious she had been crying. She sat in the swing next to me and sniffled. We sat there quietly until she finally spoke first. "You know it probably looked really creepy when you were here a lone." I chuckled lightly "Are you saying I'm a creep?" She laughed "no, but think about it a guy all alone at a park." "Well see that's why I invited you, so it wouldn't be creepy." She rolled her eyes at my response. I got up and started pushing her "Weeee" she yelled and threw her arms in the air. "Didn't anybody ever tell you that's dangerous." Kate gasped "it is?! Wow!" I laughed and pushed her higher when she leaned her head back. "Whoaa" "what?" I asked amused by Kate's expression. "I've never seen your face upside down." She said and pointed her finger at me. "Hey watch where you point that thing." I said laughing when she brought it closer to my face. It started getting dark and it was obvious Kate was tired. I laughed as she yawned "I don't want this night to end." She confessed through another yawn. "Then we'll just have to do this again won't we?" I asked as her face lit up "really?" "As long as you don't poke me in the face again. We both laughed and started walking together. Before we went our separate ways Kate hugged me. We kept hugging for about 5 minutes. "Till next time" she said in a weird voice making both of us laugh. "Till next time " I mimicked her and watched as she walked away.
