Chapter 25: Preliminary Round Over

Rimuru POV

Committee:"STARTED!"

Finally the second preliminary round tournament has started.

All the adventurers immediately ran to clash with the other adventurers.

I just stood there while waiting for someone to attack me.

Still no one has come to attack me.

I was still silent while holding my sword in one hand.

Finally after 1 minute of waiting, an adventurer came to me.

The adventurer had a body as big as Ralph.

He uses a sword as his weapon.

In terms of magic power, this adventurer was stronger than a Greater Demon but still weaker than an Archdemon.

I raised my sword to prepare to block his attack.

Adventurer:"Don't blame me if you get hurt miss!"

Okay, you ask to be beaten then I will beat you.

Rimuru:"You too"

The adventurer swung his sword up and down swiftly.

I used my sword to change the trajectory of his attack.

His sword almost touched the ground, but he stopped it and swung his sword again at my feet.

This guy is quite smart.

I jumped back to avoid his slash and tried to lure him to continue to approach me.

Behind me is the boundary of the arena, so I want him to flop down and get out of the preliminaries.

The adventurer didn't give me a chance and immediately jumped forward to attack me.

He moves according to my plan.

On landing, I waited for him until he got close to me and attacked me.

Adventurer: "It's over!"

As the adventurer drew near, he took steps to slash at me.

The adventurer swung his sword from the side at me.

I lowered my body to avoid the slash.

When I dodged his slash, I stepped forward and caught his leg.

Adventurer:"w-what?! T-tung-"

I grabbed his leg and threw him off the arena.

The adventurer had dropped out of the preliminaries for crossing the arena boundary.

I turned and looked around.

No one wants to attack me.

All those adventurers just clashed and fought each other.

Aki wants to join their fight.

However, it looks like I shouldn't attack them so I can see the ones who can survive this battle.

I might just blow them all away.

But if I do that, then I won't be able to meet a strong opponent.

In this round we are all not allowed to use all our strength.

Only in the semifinals and finals can we use all our strength.

But I will still refrain from using all my strength.

If I used all my strength, it might just be a disaster.
