Wisdom does not come overnight.
~African proverb

"Which ride would you like to go on first?" Xavier asked. I looked at all the rides and I was only excited to go on the roller coaster first.

Something about seeing it made me excited. It was so large with the most corkscrews and twists than any ride I had ever seen.

"I would like to go on the roller coaster." I grinned excitedly.

"Are you sure you want the roller coaster? I heard that some people have fallen off of it." He said, rubbing his hands against his trousers.

"I am sure nothing will happen. You don't have to be so pessimistic."

"I am trying not to. It's just that I am afraid of heights so I have never been on a roller coaster."

"I am afraid too but that is why we are here to have fun and what can be more fun than trying something we would never do alone."

"I guess you are right but please don't judge me when I scream like a girl." He chuckled slightly, causing me to laugh.

"I will be screaming with you so no need to worry."

I forcefully dragged him to the queue for the roller coaster. We stood in line and our attention was immediately taken when we heard people screaming as loud as they could on the rides.

Both Xavier and I began to laugh when we observed the funny facial expressions of the people on the rides.

"That will be us soon," Xavier said in between giggles.

"I can't wait for that," I replied laughing.

The emotion was so evident in the air of that eventful place. Everyone seemed both anxious and excited and I couldn't help but feel the same.

It was finally our turn to get on the ride. We sat next to each other and held firmly to the bars holding us to our seats.

I held Xavier's arm because I was terrified and that would be the best way to relieve myself of the fear I was experiencing.

The ride began to take off and adrenaline surged through me. The next ten minutes were a blur of screams of both Xavier and me as wind whizzed through our hair and tightly shut eyes.

It was so mind-blowing as we went from such a large height to a lower height and I immediately got that belly feeling.

We eventually descended and my knees were still shaky and I was breathing heavily but I could not keep the grin from forming on my face.

I never thought it would be that fun and all I wanted was to have more fun.

I gazed at Xavier who was breathing heavily with a broad grin on his face.

"Xavier," I whispered.

"Yes, Luna. "

"I think I just broke my leg." I lied, pretending to be hurt. I wanted to see how concerned he would be.

"Oh, my, God! How did that happen? "He began to panic." I think we need to leave now to get your leg checked up."

"Don't worry so much Xavier. It's not that bad trust me." I bit my tongue to keep myself from laughing." We can still go on other rides."

"I don't think we can. I need to take you home."  He said concerned.

"Oh, no, Xavier! It's just a minor injury, we can't let that keep us from having more fun.  Please don't take me home now." I pouted my lips and made puppy eyes.
