After The Banquet
The prince of the Centaurs was very angry with what had transpired at the banquet. Everyone had equal rights to meet the princess but Yemoja had made sure only her son had access to the girl. What he couldn't understand was why his father just watched and allowed the woman to get away with what she was doing.
"What was that about!" The Prince asked his father furiously.
"We'll talk about this later." King Zebulon responded trying to dismiss the issue.
"Talk about this later Father! For once I have seen the bravest King I know, the King of the strong Centaurs act like the King of Chickens towards a woman. Does she have control over you?"
"Watch your tone when you speak to me." Zebulon cautioned his son.
"So now you can talk? Why didn't you say anything at the banquet? Why?" His son asked still angry and unshaken by his father's response.
Zebulon was fully aware of what happened at the banquet. He could understand why his son saw him as a coward. He had allowed Yemoja to bully her way through the entire occasion. What the queen had done was very cruel and unfair. Both their sons had equal rights to meet with the princess. What baffled him more was the fact that the great goddess allowed it. She too was aware of what was going on but for some strange reason, she let it happen. This was unfair and uncalled for. Although Olokun and Yemoja were sisters, the goddess was obligated to be just and fair and treat everyone the same. She hadn't behaved as a ruler at the banquet, instead, she had behaved as a sister and her judgment had been biased. Something he was going to bring up at the meeting. If the great goddess was going to be biased then she wasn't fit to rule the Nephilims. She also needed to be reminded that the girl of whom she referred to as her daughter, was every Nephilim ruler's child. Ann had a bit of all of them in her, so therefore, they too had equal rights to the girl. As for Yemoja, he was going to warn her. She could hate him all she liked but his son and his affairs were off limits. He would not allow this to happen again.
"Does she have something on you?" His son had asked him noticing his father was in deep thoughts. The question had jolted Zebulon back to reality as he stared at his son.
"Father, does she have something on you?" His son asked and he nodded. She did have something on him. It was huge and it gave her power over him. She used his guilt against him but whatever he had done had nothing to do with his son. She would need to get the message that his son was off limits.
Shocked at his father's revelation he had begun to wonder what his father did that was bad enough to make an equal gain power over him.
"What did you do?" He asked his father but Zebulon just shook head.
"It's a long story son and it doesn't concern you. I did do something to her in the past but whatever I did does not give her the right to frustrate you." Zebulon said and stood up from where he sat.
"I will tell you everything in due time. But this is not the time. As for your meeting with the princess, I will make that happen and I promise you, Yemoja will never be a problem for you again.
