CHAPTER EIGHT
Escape From Mother
Ann got up and headed to the bathroom to ease herself. Suddenly she noticed the bowl like pond glowing brightly. She went to it. She gazed in and saw the face of a young man. He looked like he was in his early twenties. He was very handsome with light brown eyes fair dark skin and extremely seductive.
"Hello princess." The man spoke.
Ann backed away suddenly filled with fear. What she just saw was strange to her. Someone was talking to her through the pond.
"Don't be scared I just want to talk to you." The man said in the softest voice possible.
"Why-why-who are you. Are you living in the pond?" Ann asked still away from the pond.
"Oh no!" the man laughed, "I do not live in the pond. It's used to communicate like Skype in the human world. I can't believe you have no idea what this is. You have nothing to be afraid of, I wasn't allowed to say hello at the banquet. Yemoja blocked everyone away so that Philip could talk to you uninterrupted. I decided I will try and contact you later. Which I am doing now."
Understanding what he was saying. Ann began to wonder why Yemoja would block people away from her so that her son could talk to her. "Why will she do that?"
Ann asked curiously.
"It's obvious to eliminate competition for her son." The man replied.
"What competition?" Ann asked.
"You are as clueless as I was warned," he said laughing then he continued. "Anyway my name is Nickolas I am the prince of the centaurs. Son of King Zebulon, High King of the Earth realm." He paused then started giggling, "I know what you're thinking. I do not look half horse I look fully human like you. It's awkward talking this way. Invite me in." he requested.
"C-co-come in," Ann said with no confidence. Suddenly a bright light came out of the pond and landed on the floor like a bridge. Then the light faded and a man squatting appeared.
"I hate travelling like this," Nickolas complained as he stood up and advanced towards Ann. Ann started backing away.
"No, no, no don't be afraid of me. I can leave if that's what you want." He said walking back to the pond
"No." Ann said walking forward "You can stay. It's just that I have never seen anyone do that before." She explained.
"You mean no one told you what the Pond is for?" he asked looking surprised. "No," she responded. "No one told me."
"Well that's interesting" there was some confidence in him that Ann started admiring. He was handsome and playful at the same time almost as if he did not care about his looks.
"For your education," he continued, "it's called a call Pond and it's used for both communication and transport. To communicate with someone you call the person by naming the realm they reside in, Their kingdom, household and name. So If I want to call or visit you, I'll say Marine realm, Olokun's Kingdom, Olokun's household, and Ann and it will bring me here. For me to get in you have to invite me in and it will teleport me from my home to yours" he smiled "It's that simple."
