CHAPTER SEVEN
History Lesson
Ann and Philip spent the evening talking and eating together. The wine was intoxicating, and it made her feel light. She was free and confident, and she responded to all his gestures. Philip was so fascinated with Ann that he remained with her the entire evening.
When the banquet was over, Ashley came to get Ann to retire to her room. Ann was sad to leave Philip, and she told him she hoped to see him again.
Ashley helped get Ann ready for bed, and when she was done, she left. Ann was about to lie down when there was a knock at the door.
"Come in." She called out, and to her surprise, Philip stepped in.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, surprised.
"I needed to say goodnight properly." He said, walking towards her bed.
"Well, goodnight," she said. Deep down, she was nervous, but she was able to mask her emotions.
"Want to send me off so quickly?" He said with a smile sitting on her bed beside her.
Ann sat up on her bed, faced him, and smiled with sleepy eyes.
"Someone looks tired." He said, brushing her cheek with his finger. Ann responded with a smile and a lazy attempt at alertness.
"I never got to introduce myself properly. We were deep in conversation that it didn't matter then. But I think you should know either way. It's only fair since I know a lot about you already." He said. "I'm the son of Yemoja. My home is in Brazil. I'm the prince of the Sea."
"Does that mean you are supposed to be like me?" Ann asked with more interest.
They had spent their entire evening together talking about earthly things like television programs, shows, music, celebrities, political views, and their personal views and values. Ann felt much more comfortable talking about the human world than trying to make sense of where she was at the moment. So she had kept the conversation mundane, and it was fun and straightforward.
"No, not at all. You are the only one of your kind. I had earthly parents just like you, which makes me a human Nephilim. We both are, but my Nephilim side only consists of the water element, making me a merman. My life force, which we call spirit, is Nephilim from my mother, Yemoja. I am restricted, confined, and bound by that which affects marine beings. You on the other hand princess...," He said holding her hand and rubbing it gently to appreciate the beauty of her perfect slim fingers, "... are a human Nephilim that is a combination of the three ruling Nephilims of the three realms.
Meaning your life force consists of a part of each realm. You are therefore not restricted and confined to one realm but can function and thrive in all three, water, sky and earth. You have no limits. We are special because we are fully human, and humans are closest to the Creator. Our parents, on the other hand, are partly human and angel, making them partially divine servants."
"Why are humans so important?" She asked, trying to understand what he was telling her.
"Well, humans were created in the image and likeness of the Creator. They are the only creatures with the gift of free will and repentance. They have multiple chances to make mistakes and correct them. They can take sides and switch sides at will, and they are regarded as the direct children of the Creator because his breath is within them along with his spirit."
"So how does that make me special?"
"Well, you see because of the fall of mankind, the Creator reduced their mental capacity. Mankind is not in full awareness of their capabilities. The first man was created with the ability to do everything the Creator can except for giving and taking life. Life was the only thing mankind was incapable of creating.
