strands of sugar melt on my tongue
lips stained with a sugary kiss
pastel skies send down their blessings
if only the rain weren't so sweet
carmine shadows dance with the wind
yet the wind only brings the scent of deceit

the stars watch my carnivals crumble
if only your realm weren't so bitter
