"Sorry, I kinda zoned out, um I figured we'd be tourists for the day, or at least I would be because you're going to be my tour guide. Then we can get some lunch?" I suggested.
"That sounds fun, I'd be delighted to be your tour guide," she did a small bow in front of me. Luckily my jean jacket had a sort of sweatshirt hood, so I put that up and took off my hat. Jae had her bag with her so she gladly put it in so I didn't have to hold it. We walked nonchalantly around the Vegas strip for a while. She showed me all the best places to eat, bars, fun things for kids which honestly I'd probably be going to more of those then bars. Yeah drinking is great, but I don't like doing it in public. I rather drink in my hotel room where if I get tired I have a bed, and I don't need to worry about how I'm getting back.
We made conversation the whole time really, asking simple questions regarding favorite movies, foods, colors, seasons, holidays, everything we went on forever. I found out her favorite movie is Lord Of The Rings 3, her favorite food is of course pizza, her favorite color is red, her favorite season is autumn, and her favorite holiday is Christmas. She never seemed to amaze me because everytime she talked about one of these, her light brown eyes lit up with joy and passion.
I told Jae a bit about myself as we were walking to a nearby restaurant, I like that she didn't really know about me. Usually when I hangout with somebody who's a fan they know more about me then I do and it's more fun to tell somebody about myself rather then have them read it off online or on a youtube video. When we stepped inside the diner, there wasn't too many people considering it's a Monday.
"Table for two," I said politely to the hostess. She grabbed two menus and had us follow her to a table in the far corner. I sat across from Jae and the hostess left to seat more people.
"So I meant to ask you something this morning but I kinda forgot," I began to say, "But can I have your number?"
Jae looked up at me obviously not expecting that question at the moment. A smile tugged on her lips, "Yeah, of course let me um just write it down." Jae pulled out a pen from her bag and wrote on her napkin. I watched as she scribbled it down with her name and a little smiley face next to it, she passed it across the table to me and I thanked her.
"Thanks, it's just easier so I don't have to keep interrupting you at work, also for the show and stuff I can give you details," I knew I began to ramble a bit but what if she said no? Even after I leave Vegas I still want to keep in touch with Jae, besides the tour is almost over. Jae smiled, as she began to talk I noticed something, "Do you have a tongue piercing?"
"Yeah, why?" She said sticking her tongue out showing a silver bar with a ball on one end.
"Nothing this is just the first I noticed it," I shrugged.
"Oh, okay," Jae said tucking her hair behind her ear again, I pulled out my phone and wrote her number down as a contact. I let her enter what she wanted to be saved as in my phone though. I read her contact name, she put it in as her full name Jaesey Derwin. I smiled and tucked my phone back into my back pocket.
