I opened the thick curtains to my room and the light came shining through, my mom was already downstairs in the lobby working, as usual. For me I had a half hour, so I took a quick shower, blow dried my hair, and did my make up. I put on some dark blue skinny jeans, my black knee high lace-up boots with a pair of gray woolen thigh highs on underneath it so they stuck out the top of my boots. I put on my dark red knitted sweater that hung off my shoulder. I felt warm and cozy considering I work inside and it's not that cold outside. I sprayed a little perfume on me, grabbed my keys, phone, and a water bottle.
6 am.
I waved to my mom from across the lobby and then got behind the coffee counter. I took the chairs off the three little tables we had in front, and turned on the lights the lit up behind the small menu. Tyler doesn't come in till eight so I'm here for a while by myself. Once he comes I get a half hour break and then I'm here till three again unfortunately.
I made myself a coffee the way I like it and sat down on the high stool we had behind the counter. I went of my phone for a bit but eventually got bored, I heated up everything so it'll take less time when I get a costumer.
The two hours of work went by easier then I thought, Tyler came by right when everyone started getting up. I grabbed my stuff and went for my daily cigarette on the roof. I was digging through my pockets for my lighter when I accidentally shoulder checked somebody.
"Hey Jae," I heard a familiar male voice say.
I looked up and saw the same bright red hair that I did yesterday morning, "Oh, hey Michael," I smiled.
"Are you off work today...?" he mentioned me walking away from my job location.
"Oh no, I'm just on break for the next," I looked at my phone, "Twenty eight minutes."
"Oh cool, I was gonna get a quick breakfast if you'd like to join me? I'm assuming you haven't really ate yet," Michael said. I thought about it, I mean why not?
"Sure, can we get some sort of take out though? Since I really only have such a short time?" I asked.
"Yeah for sure, you're here more then I am though so why don't you pick the place."
I took Michael up on his offer and we just went to Dunkin' Donuts, I got a muffin, and Michael got a toasted bagel with butter and a coffee. "Where do you want to eat?" He said looking for a table, most of them were filled.
"I have an idea, come on," Michael and I walked back to the hotel where I led him to the roof. "This is where I was originally going to come on my break."
Michael smiled, "This...is cool," he grinned again and kept his eyes locked on the city. Michael walked over to the ledge where he placed his food. "How much time do you have left?"
"Um, about twenty minutes, little less," I leaned on the ledge next to him. I took a piece of my muffin with my hand and ate it, I continued nibbling on it as Michael and I talked.
"So do you live here?" He asked looking at me.
"Sort of, my parents are divorced so once a week every month I go stay with my dad in Phoenix, otherwise I'm here with my mom," I explained to him, I watched as Michael took a sip from his coffee and nodded his head. "Why are you here? Sorry that came out sounding rude, I swear I didn't mean it like that," I chuckled.
"It's okay, I know how you meant it," Michael laughed, "Well you know my band I'm assuming, we're on tour and we have two shows here on Friday and Saturday, you should come."
"I would if I could, I'm kinda low on money at the moment, that's why I'm working," I sighed, I did want to go to his show.
"I'm inviting you...I'm not going to make you pay for it, I'll get you a pair of tickets," he offered.
"No, Michael please don't buy them for m-" I started to deny his offer but he cut me off mid sentence.
"I don't have to buy them either Jae, I can get a few for free to give out to friends and family. It's really not a problem," Michael said in a hopeful tone.
I sighed again, "Okay, okay I'll come to your show."
Michael let out a little chirp of joy and clapped his hands lightly. We finished the rest of our breakfast before I had to leave. I said goodbye to Michael and he said he'd see me later so I'm assuming he's going to show up before I get off work. To be honest, I hope he does. I went back to work with Tyler but I didn't mention my breakfast with Michael, I know he'd freak out for not telling him but if I'm going to their show on the weekend I want to bring Tyler. He'll be so excited, I know it.
The day seemed to drag on the closer it got to three.

Michael's POV*
-
It was two thirty nine, perfect timing. I began to leave my hotel room, fixing my jean jacket, and my hair in the mirror.
"Where are you going?" Calum said from his bed. I walked back over to him where he was just playing games on his phone.
"Probably just walk around the hotel a bit, get some lunch, want anything?"
"No thanks, remember we have practice at six," Calum reminded me not even looking up from his phone.
I started to walk away, "Got it," I mumbled. I left the hotel room and made my way downstairs to the same little coffee shop I've been looking forward to going to all day. I put on the snapback I had, backwards of course and made my way over quickly so I didn't get mobbed by people or anything. Jae was turned around making drinks while the other guy at the counter was helping the small line of costumers. I got online and waited until it was my turn, the dudes face dropped once he made eye contact with me.
"Hello sir, um, m-may I take your order?" He stuttered
Jae then turned around and saw me, "Oh hey Mikey," she smiled, not a lot of people call me Mikey but I'm glad she did.
"Hey Jae, lunch?" I simply said.
"Yeah sure, Tyler can you close up today?" She said turning towards him.
"Fine but you buy my breakfast tomorrow."
"Deal," they did some sort of handshake and then Jae and I were off. "So where to?" We walked closely beside each other, somewhat dragging our feet to make us walk slower. I looked down at her since she was only about 5'6" or so, she tucked her hair on one side behind her ear, exposing her ear piercings also a tattoo behind her ear. I didn't quite get to make out what it was before she noticed me staring at her. "Mikey?"
