Aphrodite's Ire
When flawed and vicious Flower got to hell,
The surly citadel of immense evil,
There sounded sorrowful and dismal knell,
Coercing sinners to bow for the devil. And nothing else except of whines and howls
Was heard in there by th'evilest transgressor.
He's doomed and blamed as trampler and oppressor
Of nymphs' carnality and subtle souls.Charon appealed to the despaired commuter:
"Why've you rejected gifts of Aphrodite?"
And so replied condemned interlocutor:
"I've listened to the music of the night."**"The music of the night": quote from the musical The Phantom of the Opera; also meaning the 7th Symphony of an Austrian modernist composer Gustav Mahler.
