Karin put her phone back in her purse as she noticed a man approaching her
"It's you!" Karin yelled as she abruptly stands up
The man in front of her was Uchiha Shikoru.
He is known to be a flirtatious playboy, having countless affairs with different women at the same time. However, the royal family, all of his children were born of infidelity. Infidelity were never accepted as a member of the royal bloodline. But Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Sasuke were the only exceptions since they were never unfaithful of everything.
The current Queen, Uchiha Mikoto, had a huge conflict with the king, Uchiha Fugaku, that leads them to separate. The King found a new Queen, which is the mother of Uchiha Shikoru, forgetting about Mikoto with their firstborn, Itachi. But soon Fugaku left his mother and went back to Mikoto and fixed the things right as he knew he loves Mikoto more than anything or anyone. Then they had Sasuke, their youngest son.
And thus, Shikoru's mother is a sly, smart woman, she managed the king to recognize her son, Shikoru, as a member of the royal family. However, even though her son is allowed to have the royal surname Uchiha, he cannot use the same Ikari surname, which was the surname only for the royal family, like his brothers.
Therefore, the people address Uchiha Shikoru as the prince of the Uchiha City, it is inevitable that there is still gossip about his scandalous birth. He will always be the child of an affair, and never a rightful prince to the people.
"Have a seat, sister-in-law. There's no need to be all worked up. Please, mind your tone. People are watching you." Shikoru casually said and sat on the seat across from Karin. As Karin sat panickedly.
"Oh, wait. I almost forgot you're not yet married to my brother... I guess it's not appropriate to call you sister-in-law then. I think we'll go with Ms. Karin for now" he mocked
Karin glared at him trying to suppress her anger.
"What do you want from me?!" She impatiently asked but was cut off by a waitress
"Good day, sir. Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Well, I'll have a cup of blue mountain, please. Skip the sugar and the milk." he ordered
The waitress wrote his order then left
"Uchiha Shikoru, you better watch your attitude!"
"Woah, Ms. Karin, you seemed a little grumpy today." he scoffed
"Drop the act just spit it out!"
"Wait, something is not right! It does not look like Karin is furious because her fiancé is cheating on her... But rather, she's trying to hide something behind her irritation." He thought eyeing her as his left eye wince.
'I originally thought that Uchiha Sasuke was hooking up with another woman without his fiance knowing. I had to admit, this woman has a few tricks to win Uvhiha Sasuke's precious son on her side but seeing Karin like this... It just didn't make sense! Perhaps there was something he didn't know?'
"Miss Karin, I think there's some misunderstanding between the two of us. There's no need to treat me like your enemy. We can be allies, no?" He firmly said
"In your dreams! Why would I want you as my ally?"
"I know what your thinking. You want to throw Sasuke and become the next king."
"I am the fiance of Uchiha Sasuke. I will be the Queen of the country when he is enthroned as the new king. So why would I want to help you? What is there to benefit me? Being your ally means I'll be discarded once you have no use of me. What makes you think I'll be your ally? Do I look like an idiot to you?"
He smirks "if I'm not wrong, the purse and the dress you have on are the hottest items of the season from the top-tier fashion brands. They must have cost fortune"
"What are you trying to say?!"
"I'm just saying that... You can still enjoy a life of luxury in the future if you work with me. Or else..." he took his phone and slide it on the table showing Karin the picture of Sakura and Daisuke in the park.
Her eyes grew wider in shock and fear
"You'll lose everything you have now once my brother, Uchiha Ikari Sasuke, knows what you did." he continues
Karin was at a loss for words. She knew she has no choice but to join with him or else it might be her last breath. She gritted her teeth at that thought.
"What do you want me to do?"
"Hmph! Simple. Just try to keep your status as Uchiha Sasuke's fiance, and get me whatever information I want."
"Tsk! Fine I'll do it."
"But you have to do some for me as well! I don't want to see that woman in this country ever again!"
"No, no, no." he said shaking his index finger on her face
"Your in no position to bargain with me" he smirks
"YOU!"
'Uchiha Sasuke must have arranged his men to guard that woman. He will definitely know if I laid a finger in her. To me, Karin is just a replaceable pawn without any value. It's simply not worth it to make Sasuke angry for her sake'
"Don't think of slacking off. I have plenty of pictures like that with me."
"Sir, here is your Blue Mountain. Enjoy!" the waitress said as she place it on the table and left.
