Bad news

Alex and the captain saw delta from the other portal and Delta said "good to see you again captain, Zhuge kongming and bronnie are on your bridge." The captain nodded "got it." He then turned to Alex "come along, we do need to discuss some things."

The captain walked Alex to the bridge and Saw the three short girls. Alex then said "Hey, bronya." In a slightly sad tone bronya picked up on this and said "Subject Alex, what happened?" Alex then said "bronya, I-" He stopped for a moment, he gave a big sigh "Zach's gone, he's dead." Bronya flinched and said "The bronya is sorry, this must be hard subject Kiana or Subject sarah, They both had had relations with subject Zach." Alex nodded "Yeah, I heard theresa was planning on breaking the news to everyone else today." The captain then said "Again I'm sorry, but we need to talk about something different." The captain then walked over to a cabinet and pulled out 5 glasses and gave one to each of the people on the bridge and said to Alex and bronya "is it legally ok for you two to drink?" Alex shrugged "I dunno, but I doubt it would do much to me." Bronya chimed in with "The bronya has had drinks with friends before, It does not matter." The captain smiled "well since Alex is here, we should go light, and I think Zhuge kongming prefers it too." Zhuge then said "I have no opinion on that."

As the captain poured the drinks he said "We've been looking for someone, someone really special to me, a girl, she is another theresa, but she's different, a kindred to be precise, I messed up during the augmentation process and sent her away, now she is lost in the multiverse and I don't know where to find her, but you, Alex, you can traverse it right?" Alex nodded "Yeah, I will automatically go to an active project end instance, other than that, it's limited." The captain nodded "I understand." Alex then smiled "relax, the limitations are less than what you think, and it's constantly getting less and less limited. but for right now, I'll keep my eyes out." The captain then pulled out a couple of files from the same cabinet and said "This is her profile, I could help."  Alex took the file and said "I see, I'll take a look through it when I get back." Alex then quickly downed his drink and said "I'd love to stay a chat but I've got a report to write."

Everyone was gathered in the dining area and murmurs went around, both Kiana and Seele were anxious, they both knew why everyone was here, and they knew what theresa was going to say. A passing conversation was one that concerned Kiana "Is this about the boy?" "Which one?" "Duh, the guy that joined up a few months ago, the one friends with that Kiana girl." "Oh, that boy, Has he left." "Shouldn't the captain announce this?" "Speaking of which where is the captain?" That sentence made Kiana feel uneasy, knowing that he wouldn't be here anymore would hurt the spirits of the crew. Theresa then stood up and said "hello everyone. As you may know recently we made a deal to put something on the hyperion, that being a portal, and unfortunately with that came some changes, and now something bad." Theresa gave a sigh, and people murmured again "Is Alex going?" "finally." "he doesn't belong here." The passing conversations came through. This made the blood boil of the valkyries who knew him most Theresa then said "Our captain, Zach has, died." more murmurs had occurred and by now Kiana had begun to leave the room to bring Alex back. "What?" "No, impossible." "He's dead?!" "I bet this is Alex's fault?" "Yeah Fuck him?" Theresa then said "which is why in a week we'll be heading back to Soukai and hold something in honor of him."

Kiana opened the portal and Alex popped out before Kiana said "you should go to your room, the others that don't know you are blaming Zach's death on you." Alex gave a sigh  "They are half right, if I was a bit tougher and more energized I could've tried something to help him." Kiana nodded "I see, but anyway head to your room, quickly, before theresa ends the meeting, and don't come out till night, we can talk then."

A few of the other valkyries were talking in the corridors about Alex. Sarah was in her room overhearing the conversations and thought "If you only knew what Alex does, then maybe you'll see the light." Her tears were now dry, she curled up into a ball and said "I'm sorry Zach, it was my fault. But I'll get better for you."

A few days had passed and what was supposed to be Zach's captain month was over, now It was sarah's turn, however she didn't appear on the bridge, and Kiana was on bridge duty. She had waited for 2 and a half hours before asking herself "where the hell is Sarah at, normally I'm the one that's late." after another half hour Kiana gave a sigh and left her post, an incredibly irresponsible thing to do, but with Sarah missing, she had no choice.

Kiana went to Sarah's room and knocked on the door "Sarah, are you in there?" no response Kiana gave a sigh "Sarah, it's your turn to be our captain." Kiana sighed once again "I am risking my ass to check on you so if you don't come out I might get in trouble." she then heard sarah say "go away." in a quiet voice Kiana opened the door and said "Sarah, please, what's wrong, is this about Zach?" Sarah then said "yes, can we talk about this later." Kaina raised an eyebrow and said "ok, I'll check up on you in a few hours after my bridge duty."

Kiana ran back to the bridge as fast as possible to avoid getting caught by theresa, even though it's been a few days since zach's death was announced, she still heard gossip of Alex being the one to kill him. It was burned in her mind and she hated it, every corridor had at least three of the Valkyries talking about it. As she got back to the bridge she saw theresa grinning. "Well my dear niece, I thought you were on bridge duty, and you know the rules."

Kiana sighed "I was just checking on Sarah. she hadn't arrived yet and I got worried." Theresa gave a smile before grinning "Oh I know, I was just messing with you, because of Sarah's state, I decided to take over till she gets motivated." Theresa then sat on the railings "here's hoping we get a good new captain. Maybe you'll like this one too?" Kiana was confused "I like both our captains, why wouldn't I like the new one?" Theresa grinned again "Oh I mean like as in intimate." Kiana froze "h-heh, what do you mean?" Theresa smiled "everyone knew, well everyone except Mei." Kiana then said "o-oh, I get it now. is this about me and Zach before?" Theresa nodded "yeah."

Alex only left his room at night, for safety concerns. Although it was boring, he did have a large window and he did chuckle at the passing by valkyries who did talk about him, sometimes he'd receive a knock and it would usually be Seele or Rita the latter of which offered him some food. Alex was still concerned about Sarah, how is she handling all of this.

A few more days passed and the hyperion arrived back at soukai. Alex was able to leave his room without getting ridiculed, although he was met with death stares. He hung out with Kiana and Seele a few times before the landing. After the hyperion docked Theresa came into Alex's room and said "so, about sarah?" Alex nodded "If she's on her duty I'd be happy to let her have that duty." Theresa then said "Yeah that and next month we'll be hovering over soukai for the foreseeable future, overseers orders, so could you live with Sarah for a bit, of course you'll need to come on the hyperion when you receive assignments but we can just fly you up here." Alex nodded "I got it." Theresa smiled "good, everyone has left so you can safely walk around, only a few mature crew members remain, reprimanding anyone who threatens you would be a pain, so this was the best option."

Alex sat out on the main deck with some food he was given. The sun was beating down on his head. While eating he looked off the side and saw students walking around the St freya campus. Including Kiana and Mei. He then looked up to the bridge and he thought he saw a silhouette of someone, but they disappeared before he knew who was there.

Sarah looked out to the deck, she wanted to think about someone other than Zach for a bit. She looked at her partner and gave a sigh "Why am I like this, do I really have feelings for him?" She then shook her head "No, I shouldn't he's my friend, besides why would he like me like that, we've only been partners for less than a month, but he's done so much for me, he saved my life so many times. But Zach, I need to wait. It'll take time but soon I'll come to a decision."
