New faces

Alex returned home. As he got inside he noticed something off. He wasn't greeted by anyone, and most of all it seemed empty. None of the crew were wandering the halls on his way up to the bridge, as he opened it he saw a green haired woman. She was short, but floating a few centimeters of the ground with a case of some sort. She turned around with an unsettling smile and her eyes narrowing on Alex. She then spoke her first words to him "hello, you must be Alex? I am mobius." Alex then said "Yeah... I'm Alex, who told you?" Mobius came closer to Alex and grabbed a hold of his arm "Theresa, quite a funny little girl." She examined his arm as he tried to pull away "You feel different, like someone designed for combating something else, mind if I cut you open to see?" ALex became concerned and tried to pull away again before mobius said "now now, don't be afraid, I just want to look at you." Alex gave a sigh before the woman examined his body "very nice, I'll have to cut you open a bit later." Alex got annoyed "I have jobs to do, so you cannot." Mobius smiled before her tentacle like devices from her object pointed towards him "Oh I will, I'll be doing this, and you can-" The two then heard a voice "Doctor. Please let the boy go, he is radiating something else and it is extremely reactive to us. If you intend to open him up." Mobius let go and Alex adjusted his arm. Eleysia then walked in and said "Hey Alex, you already met mobius?" Alex nodded "Yeah, she's... Odd." Elysia smiled "yeah, she went off after I introduced her to everyone." Alex then looked to the portal "how did it open?" The small person then said "i picked these keys up, I saw that they fit in the slots in the front, so i asked mobius to help?" Alex nodded "Thanks, what's your name?" the small person then said "I am an Elf modeled after Dr klein, you are?" Alex then said "Alex, created for combating project end, and I love doing it."

Sarah rushed to the bridge and saw Alex, she didn't say anything and she went to hug him. Alex was confused for a few seconds before he hugged her back. After they let go Alex said "nice to see you sarah, but why the hug?" Sarah blushed "O-Oh that, I was just worried about our newcomer around you, you're not hurt right?" Alex shook his head "nope, but i did feel a little worried." Sarah nodded before sighing "I'm sorry about before, I had a bit of a bad night." Alex looked at her worried "are you ok?" Sarah nodded "yeah, I talked with my mom." Alex nodded "Oh, I guess it didn't go well?" Sarah nodded "yeah, unfortunately she was just trying to bring me back, luckily it didn't work." She then said "I heard that you were staying with me next month, thanks." Alex smiled "It's fine, I think I will be getting less assignments for a while. Now I'll need to give Kiana and Seele their keys back."

Seele was going through her drawers trying to look for her key saying "Where is it, where is it?" Increasingly more worried She then heard a knock and gulped, was it Kiana, was she going to scold her for losing the key. Seele thought about it for a bit before opening the door, it was Kiana and she was worried too "Can't find my key, I assume you can't either?" Seele looked down, "n-no, I can't." They then heard Alex "You didn't lose the keys ya know, they were collected by an ELF, here you go." Kiana then said "that's good, thanks." Alex handed the other to Seele who smiled "I was worried for a second there." Alex gave a smile "It now fine, so don't worry, that being said, we should produce extra keys just in case." Kiana gave a shrug "seems like a good Idea."

Sarah was finishing up some inspections of the hyperion when she heard someone say with a slight British accent "Hello, are you captain Sarah?" Sarah bumped her head on the shelf above and said "yeah, who's asking?" Rubbing the bump on her head and the voice said "Sorry, are you ok?" Sarah nodded "Yeah, just tell me who you are before I start yelling?" She then turned to see a male about as tall as Zach from when he was alive, with blond-brown hair, emerald eyes and a concerned smile. He then spoke again and said  "I am Jax fields, the replacement for Zach." Sarah gave a nod "well nice to meet you I am Sarah Moore, but I only go by Sarah nowadays. weren't you supposed to be here tomorrow?" Jax nodded "Ah yeah, the overseer wanted me here early for orientation." Sarah rolled her eyes "Right, well follow along, I might as well show you around now, I just gotta meet with my friend first."

Sarah walked to Alex's room with Jax trailing behind, she knocked on the door and heard Alex say "I'm almost done, I'll be right out." Sarah then said to Jax "Alex is likely writing a report right now." Jax then asked "Report, does he fight honkai?" Sarah then said "no but he does other things, he'll tell you a bit later, it's his business after all." Alex then opened the door and said "yeah, but you are apart of it too." Startling sarah "Gah, Alex don't scare me." Jax gave a chuckle and Alex said "this the new guy?" Sarah nodded "yeah, this is Jax, He is Zach's replacement." Alex nodded "right, I'm guessing you want me to accompany you while you show him around." Sarah gave a smile and said "you got it right on the money."

Sarah showed Jax the hyperion and explained details on what she showed him as they walked around alex got looks from the passing valkyries which caused Jax to say "what's with them, why do they hate you?" Alex then said "Oh, they think I killed Zach." Sarah then said "And it pisses me off to see them do that." Jax then asked "why do they think that?" Alex then said "Well I was the last one with Zach before he died, it's likely he wasn't going to live before we could get him some medical attention." Sarah nodded "If I was in the same situation as Alex, I would have done the same thing, with a little more resistance." Jax "resistance, were you two close?" Sarah nodded "yeah, we were dating at the time, but that has long passed." Jax then said looking confused "Are you still upset about it?" Sarah nodded "Yeah, but the pain has gone away mostly."

Jax, Sarah and Alex entered the bridge and sarah said "So this is the bridge, it's where you will stand a lot of the time." The sky looked amazing that day and Jax said "miss sarah, what is this 'bridge duty' thing that is plastered on the wall?" Sarah then said "oh, right, just before the start of the month you get to pick two valkyries per 24 hour cycle starting at 8 am that you want on the bridge with you, it's most of the day with a second valkyrie being up at night." Jax looked away from the board and said "right, and what of those panels that are over on the rails there?" Sarah then said "that's a surprise for later, it's apart of Alex's thing that he does, but you'll just get to watch. It's a dangerous mission he does, but he does it well." Alex gave a nod "yeah, but I still need to do it better. my last one I got hurt by an exploding crystal." Sarah giggled a bit and said "an, exploding crystal, seems silly?" Alex nodded "Yeah, it does, but I just found out crystalline project end exists, I swear there are shards in my body right now." Sarah then said "after the tour for jax, I should take you to look at it." Alex shook his head "nah, I'll just let the shards pass, they're not doing any harm right now." Sarah gave a single nod "Right, but tell me if it hurts, I'd be happy to help you out."

Sarah walked Jax to a room and said "Here are one of the many rooms on this ship, this is where you will stay, during the night, also here is the keycard to get in, I'll show you some of the valkyries tomorrow, the ones that I think are some of the greats and the ones that stand up to the rest. Mainly because they've graduated, or are genuinely nice." Jax nodded "I understand."

Alex was about to enter his room when sarah said "hey Aex, wait up!!" Alex turned and said "Sarah, what do I owe the pleasure to?" Sarah then said "Ah, so I was wondering if you wanted to spend the night with me, like from the time that I was drunk?" Alex smiled "I'd be happy to, I'll just get changed, I forgot to do that before writing my report."

Sarah arrived at her room with Alex and opened the door and she said "come on in, get in the bed." Alex gave a nod and they both entered at the same time. Sarah gave off a smile "comfortable?" She said. Alex adjusted himself and said "yeah, it's good." sarah chuckled "Good, good." She then looked down "thanks for accepting, it's pretty weird for some people." Alex smiled "no problem, It does seem a bit strange, did you do this with Zach sometimes?" Sarah nodded "yeah, how'd you guess?" Alex looked away "the first time I slept down on the ground kiana told me she and mei were sleeping in the same bed, I just thought that since you two were dating, that you slept together?" Sarah gave an approval looking smile "Not bad deduction." Alex then said "Can you tell me something about yourself?" Sarah nodded "Yeah, I should tell you a bit about my childhood."
