Sakura couldn't believe it.
Sasuke had finally returned.
She was excited, but also extremely nervous. Because she hasn't seen him in such a long time. It had only been a few years, but heck. It felt like one hundred years. No, one hundred painful years. Maybe she's just exaggerating?
How did Sakura found out about this? Well, earlier, Naruto had told her, which caused her to gasp in surprise. Naruto had told her that Sasuke would be waiting at the front gate for her. Does he mean he'll be waiting for her only?
Sakura sighed, and decided she should go and see him. She was nervous as heck, but feeling excited as well made her feel a little better.
She started to walk, getting closer to her destination, then she saw him.
The man she had not seen for years.
"Sasuke.." she whispered, looking straight into the Uchiha's empty black eyes.
"Sakura." He said back. "Is that you?"
Sakura bit her lip to hold back tears. She wanted to cry so badly at this point. She also was so happy to see him that she wanted to run out and hug him. But she was too nervous. Too nervous to do anything.
"H-how are you?" She stuttered, trying to start a conversation using small talk.
"It's been okay." Sasuke answered.
"Where's Naruto?"There he goes with the "where's Naruto" again!! Inner Sakura shouted.
"Quiet!" Sakura snapped back.
Oh, you know you want him to ask you out!!
"Shut up, Inner me!" Sakura snapped back again.
"Sakura?" Sasuke said, which made Sakura snap out of it. "You know what? Nevermind."
The Uchiha rushed past Sakura and left her there, standing infront of the gates. "I bet he's not even worried about me.." Sakura said while sighing sadly. "Oh well, he just came back. Maybe he just needs some rest."
"How long are you staying here?" Naruto asked him, taking a big gulp of the cup of water that came with his bowl of ramen. "Not forever, right?"
Sasuke nodded, giving the blonde man the answer to his question. He knew he couldn't stay forever, so he had to catch up on the things he's missed out on.
Did he miss anything about that pink haired woman? No. The only thing she's been doing is working at the hospital and constantly waiting for Sasuke to return. And he finally did, but one bad thing. Sasuke is a little annoyed by it. He found the pink haired woman a little annoying, but she's changed. She's not that fan girl anymore. She's not the type anymore to run up and hug him tightly. She's also gotten stronger too. Which made Sasuke smirk just thinking about it. He asks himself why does he smirk while thinking about it, but he doesn't know. Why? Because he is stupid.
"Have you seen Sakura yet?" Naruto asked him. "She would be really happy to see you."
"I've seen her." Sasuke answered. "She didn't really say anything."
Naruto smirked. "When are you going to ask her out?" That question made Sasuke angry, and he punched Naruto on the head hardly, which made him whimper in pain.
"owwww!!" He yelled out. "Teme, what was that for?!"
"Because dobe." Sasuke said. "You asked a stupid question."
Naruto just rolled his eyes, and stood up.
"Sasuke, I wanna tell you this." Naruto said, and Sasuke raised an eyebrow.
"If you make Sakura cry," Naruto said. "Or hurt her in any way,"
Naruto clenched his fist.
"You'll lose another arm."
Naruto? Getting a little overprotective over Sakura? He's always kind of been like this. Sasuke may have made her cry before, but hurt her? Not in a million years. Maybe he's mentally hurt her, but he would never hurt her physically. I mean, he did try to kill her once, but Sasuke did not want to think of that right now.
"So annoying.." Sasuke mumbled. "Maybe I shouldn't have returned.."
