It was several years later, and Sarada was 12 years old.
She was hanging out with her friend, ChoCho, until it was time to go home for dinner. She waved goodbye to her friend, and walked home.
When she got into her house, she got sniffed the air.
"Smells good.." She said, as she walked into the kitchen.
She saw her mom, cooking something that looked like soup.
"Hello, mama." She said to her mother, giving her a hug.
"Hello, Sarada!" Her mom said, while wrapping her arms around her. "How was today?"
"It was good." Sarada said. "But Boruto was annoying."
Sakura laughed, and placed Sarada's food on the table.
"He does take after his father, does he?" Sakura said, sitting next to her daughter.
"You mean Lord Hokage was like Boruto back in your days?" Sarada asked her mother.
Sakura nodded, and ate some of her food. "But eat your food dear. It's going to get cold."
Sarada smiled, and ate her food until it was all gone.
"Oh, I'm sorry mama!" Sarada said, frowning. "I was supposed to take my shower before I ate, right?"
Sakura nodded. "But that's okay, just go take it now."
Sarada nodded, and got ready to take her shower.
When she was done, she said goodnight to her mother, and laid in her bed, drifting off to sleep.
Her mother, however, did not fall asleep. She was thinking about her husband. She missed him, it has been years since she saw his handsome face. She really wanted to see him, in real life. Actually feel his fingers on her face and not imaginary like in a dream. She started to feel tears roll down her face. Was she really crying? Over him? Well, of course she would. It's her husband. It's okay to cry over that.
Sakura sighed, and turned over to her side. She rubbed Sasuke's pillow that was on the other side of the bed and smelt the hair gel he uses in his hair. Yup, he uses hair gel but doesn't tell anyone except Sakura.
That just made Sakura miss him more. She decided to just go to sleep and see if she feels better in the morning.
She was finally falling asleep after a few minutes, until she heard knocking on the window beside her.
She groaned, rubbing her eyes and sat up in her bed. "Hello..?" She said, tiredly. "Who's there?"
There was no answer. It's probably no one. Who would knock on the window anyways? If they wanted her attention they could have knocked on her doors. That's what doors are for, right?
She sighed, thinking it was just the wind or something and laid back down.
"Sakura." Said a voice, and it startled her, making her jump, and almost gasp.
She bit her lip. Was someone in her house? If so, she needs to find them immediately. They could be dangerous. They could be a robber.
She was about to get up out of the bed until she felt strong arms wrap around her. She gasped, and quickly turned around, getting ready to punch whoever is there in the face.
Until she saw.. A familiar face. A handsome familiar face.
"Sa... suke..?" Sakura said, feeling her face heat up.
Sasuke smiled at his wife.
"I'm home." He said, and Sakura wrapped her arms around him, and started to cry.
"Sasuke-kun, I've missed you so much.. " she said, while sniffing.
Sasuke stared at his wife. Feeling guilty for leaving her alone with their daughter for all these years. But finally, he was back home.
"Sarada is asleep." Sakura said. "You must be hungry.. Let me heat you up some dinner."
Sasuke was about to say no, but Sakura got up before he could say anything.
She heated up some of the soup her and Sarada had, and handed it to Sasuke who was sitting at the table.
"Here you go." Sakura said while smiling. "Tell me if it needs something, or if you need anything else." She sat next to Sasuke, and he tried some of the soup.
"Mm, delicious." Sasuke said, smiling at his wife. "As always." Sakura blushed, and smiled softly.
When Sasuke was done with his soup, he took a quick shower and got into the bed with his wife.
"What are you gonna do tomorrow, darling?" Sakura asked him.
"I'm going to the Hokage." (Also known as Naruto) "it seems that Aku is still lurking around."
Sakura gulped, remembering the time she was kidnapped by Aku, and almost got experimented on. Thank God Sasuke got there in time. Or something bad would've happened.
Sasuke stared at his wife, and admired her beauty. Everything about her was beautiful. Her pink, bubble gum hair. her beautiful eyes that shined like a emerald. and her beautiful scent. Which smelled like something sweet. Like Strawberries, or cotton candy. Sasuke hates sweets, but when it comes to his wife, he loves it.
"Shall we go to sleep?" Sakura asked, smiling.
"Hn." Sasuke said. And Sakura took that as a yes.
She laid down beside Sasuke, laying her head on his chest, and slowly drifted off to sleep.
"Must've been very tired.." Sasuke said. He was tired himself, so he too, drifted off to sleep.
