After my talk with Dean I decided to get back to my tent. I sat down on my sleeping bag and pulled off my boots and socks. Sleep didn't come easy but, just like always it eventually came.
I woke up back in my bed. In my old room. I look around and everything is the same as I left it. I sit up with my feet dangling off the bed. The silence is deafening. Somthing is wrong I can feel it in in my gut. I shiver runs though me when my bare feet come into contact with the floor. I slowing and silently make my way to my bedroom door. It squeeks open reveling an empty apartment.
"Mom? Dad?" I yell and wait for a response but, I don't get one.
"Kida?" I yell and await a response that will never come. I make my way toward the front door and wrench it open slightly and pop my head out the door to look at the hallway but, its completely empty. That's very unusual. Normally there is at least one person walking the hall. Weather its a guard or someone coming to or from work.
I step out into the hallway and turn around to close the door as silently as possible. I turn back around and there was a shillouette of a child at the end out the hallway in front of me. 'They weren't there just a second ago' I think. They aren't moving that are just standing there watching me.
