Two strong hands wrap around my upper arms I try to kick and hit but every time I do i'm just hitting air. They restrain my hands with what I assume is rope. Then grab my arms again. I try to loosen their grip by squirming around but, all it did was make their grip tighten. I struggle to keep their pace. I try to walk but, my feet keep fumbling underneth me.

These must be the people my dad told me about. What would they do to me? Will they rape me, beat me, kill me! 'No they can't kill me I just started out here! This isn't fair!' I thought to myself.

" The Test's must be going on again." one of them said in a very mellow voice to my right.

"Yeah probably. She looks about the right age." Another one said in a much deeper voice

"What's going on? Please, just let me go! I didn't do anything wrong." I say but neither of them respond. It felt like hours until we finally came to a stop. 'So this is how its going to end? Blind folded and left for dead. Maybe if I had went north instead of south. Maybe if I had just went to sleep in the cave instead of looking at the butterflies. Maybe-' I was interrupted mid-thought.

"Get Dean." The one with the deeper voice demands. I heard footsteps walking away. Once that faded away I could hear very low whispers coming from all around me. I once read that when one of you senses is taken away the rest heightened. Did it work that quick though?

Seconds later the blind fold is ripped off my face and they pushed me roughly to the ground. One part of me was afraid to look up. The other part of me wanted to look around and see what was going on. I just looked down at the dirt. If this Dean guy is going to off me I didn't want to see it coming but, a hard yank on my ponytail forced my head up. In that moment I decided I couldn't look scared. I looked directly at the man in front of me with my jaw clentched and head up.

The man in front of me stood up straight with his arms behind his back. He seemed so paramount and confident. He wore a dirty black tee shirt, tan cargo pants, and black boots. The shirt conformed to his body perfectly. His face was undeniably strong but still slightly childish.

"Where did you find her?" he asked one of the guys behind me. His voice was deep, calm and  demanding.

"Butterfly clearing." The boy with the mellow voice said. I take a quite glance over my left shoulder then my right. The one to my right, with the mellow voice, looked some what Hispanic. He had dark brown hair maybe it was black it was difficult to tell. The only light was coming from a fire behind us. He was built but not as much compared to Dean. He wore a tattered white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of dark wash jeans. He had on a pair of converse all star sneakers. I remember begging my parents to buy me some forms the trade center but it never happened.

To my right I saw the man with the deeper voice. He was African American. He had about the same build as Dean. He wore red shirt with a brown leather jacket and, light blue jeans. His boots were similar to Dean's. He had short curly black hair. I look back at Dean who is looking at me with a blank expression on his face. A little frightened and intimidated I look back to the ground.

"Stand her up." Dean demands and once again two hands clasp my arms and pull me to my feet. I stupidly decided this might be my only chance to make a break for it. I stomp on the hispainc guys foot. He grunts and releases my arm. I make a break for it.

I run toward the forest. 'I'm almost there. The trees will hide me.' I think to myself. I feel someone grab my ankle and I hit the ground with an woomf. I try to crawl away it was little easier since my hands were tied in the front instead of behind my back. Then a boot on my back forces me to the ground. I firm hand grips my arm again and stands me up in one swift move. The two guys who originally got me come running to my side.

"You can go." Dean says to them.

"Are you sure?" The guy in the red shirt asked

"Yeah she won't try anything like this again. Right? " he asks like he already knew the answer. I look away but, he gently moves my chin forward to him again and softly asks again "right?" I simply nod. The guys slowly back away. I take the opportunity to look around me. I notice all the people who surround us. They were are looking at me curiously. Before I always thought it would have been cool to see animals in a zoo. However, now that I'm starting to understand what they must feel like. In this moment I understood why my dad always hated the idea of zoos.

"Everything is ok! Everyone go back to what you were doing!" Dean yells to the people. With those two simple statements that's exactly what they do. Most of the people retreat to tents but a few huddle by the fire

"What's your name?" he asks me I dont know why he cares if he's just going to end up killing me anyway. I look into his eyes and, I couldn't help but notice how beautiful his eyes were. They were the color of the sky I witnessed when I first stepped out of the compound.

"Linnea." I state simply

"I'm Dean. Why were you banished"

"Why does it matter?" I ask

"Did u kill someone?" He asks calmly

"What? Are you crazy? No!"

"Good you can stay here as long as you don't."

"What makes you think I want to stay here. I just got man handled and god knows what you and your buddies plan to do to me."

"First off I'm apologize about them especially Ryan he can get a little rough," he says with a smirk. I'm not going lie it was pretty damn attractive. The smirk quickly disappears and his face goes serious.

"Second its safe here. No one in this camp will hurt you. Look around. What do you see?" I look around and see a few men as well as women and even a couple children. They are all moving about freely and comfortably. Then I look back at Dean and he repeats "What do you see?"

"Women and children."

"And do they look scared to you?"

"No they look at home."

"And that's exactly why I need to know why they banished you."

"The Test. I failed it." He scoffed at the stament as if I were lying.

"Ok I will have the boys set you up a tent and have the girls give you some fresh clothes." I thats when i noticed just uow ripped up my clothes were. He starts to walk away but before he can I ask "Why did you want to know about my banishment?" he stops his back still too me.

"Let's just say I you were a murderer I'd off you myself. " Then he continues walking.
