5. A Little Under the Influence

Violet

"Um, Beau. What is that?" I asked, pointing to the two bottles of alcohol in his hands.

The rest soon caught on. "You didn't," Jai said.

"Yeah, it was just sitting there screaming 'buy me.'" Beau explained.

"Oh my God." Jai proclaimed, like this was a typical 'Beau' thing to do; I wasn't surprised.

"C'mon little bro! You gotta live in the moment," Beau preached.

"Yeah, listen to your brother!" Daniel butted in from behind Beau, he had a bottle open and already a third of it was empty.

Beau turned to him to see some of his booze already gone. He gestured to the bottle in Skip's hand and shot him a 'what the fuck?' look. Skip took another sip and almost choked a bit after he'd done, shrugging his shoulders in defence.

"What? You said to live in the moment!" Skip said in a laugh.

Beau shook his head at his best friend and chucked a bottle at Jai. He caught it and muttered, "Fuck it," before unscrewing the cap and gulping down the strong alcohol.

Beau walked around the fire pit to where me and Alice were. "You girls are over 16, right?" He asked, forgetting we already had told him this information.

"Nah Beau, we're 12." I replied sarcastically.

He shook his head laughing and handed us the vodka, "You cheeky fuckers."

I stood up with the bottle in my hand and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Thank you Beau baby," I whispered in his ear.

"You're welcome princess," he replied.

It didn't take long for the alcohol to kick in, we were soon laughing uncontrollably and shouting the short distances between us. Alice and I had shared a bottle. Luke and James managed to spill theirs all over the place after consuming a quarter each. Beau and Daniel had finished theirs first and began helping me and Alice with ours. And Jai, had a whole bottle of the straight alcohol to himself. So of course, he was completely off his face.

"I JUST LOVE MY FANS, YOU KNOW?" Jai cried, stumbling around with an almost empty bottle in his hands.

"Sit the fuck down, you're a mess!" Luke demanded his twin. "You're ruining yourself for me."

"DON'T WORRY BROTHER, I LOVE YOU TOO!" He replied, stroking Luke's hair drunkenly.

Luke slapped his hand away and grabbed his wrist, pulling him down into a crouching position.

"Here I go!" Jai cried out, before falling on his back.

I giggled and crawled over to him lying in the sand. I placed a hand on his chest and he shot his head up abruptly, "Oh! It's Violet."

"Let's get you up," I said giggling at his drunkenness.

He flailed his hand around searching for mine and held onto it tight once he'd found it. I heaved him up and he responded fine until he leaned to the side and released a bit of his alcohol intake.

"Jai!" I giggled.

"Yeah!" He responded, flicking his head back up to face me.

A smudge of used alcohol was spread down his chin. I gasped and lifted the end of his singlet up his body to wipe his face for him. He obediently stayed still while I cleaned him up and he gave me cheesy smile once I had done.

"See! This is why I love my fans! I can't contain it. I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH YOU KNOW?" Jai continued ranting.

Jai rolled himself over and stopped next to his twin. I fell down on my back giggling at Jai. I watched him as he bugged Luke, playing with his hair and face. Alice soon crawled over to me and hovered over my face. She hugged my head before flopping down opposite me and kissing my face. Alice was always a very loving drunk. I was giggling so hard at everyone that I caught the hiccups, Alice laughed and gasped before playing with my hair.
