Jeongyeon is inside her car at the front of Jimin's house. She's not sure if visiting him is a good idea but her conscience is telling her to apologize personally in behalf of her father. She bought a basket of fruits and along with it is the take out bag of her untouched steak. It's already seven in the evening and a part of her was telling her to just visit him in the morning but the probability of being captured by some journalists is greater in daylight.
She wore her hoodie over her white shirt and finally decided to go out with the food. Jimin's house is located in a private subdivision and the house next to his is quite distant.
With her free hand, she sent him a message...
I'm here.
After few minutes, someone opened the gate. A woman in her forties welcomed Jeongyeon."Good evening Ma'am," Jeongyeon said and the woman reciprocated the greeting. She guides her to the living room and as Jeongyeon roam her eyes, she felt like she's in a museum. There are paintings everywhere and the furniture and fixtures are like work of art.
She puts the food down on the center table and she sat on the couch as she waits for him. After few minutes, Jimin went in wearing khaki shorts and white loose shirt with a stain of blood on the front. Jeongyeon can see the trace of bandage underneath. She lost herself for a minute until he snapped on her sight, "Good evening Miss Yoo."
Jeongyeon was startled like waking up in a daydream and immediately stood while removing the hoodie on her head, "Good evening Mr. Park."
"It's nice to see you again. Have a seat," Jimin said smiling as he settled on a single chair beside the white couch. Well, he was starstruck at first when she uncovered her head.
Jeongyeon waited for him till he's comfortably sitting. She sat back on the couch and asked him, "How are you?"
"I'm doing fine."
"Are you sure?"
"I am finer here than staying in the hospital. I love going to the hospital but I hate staying there for too long."
Jeongyeon nodded silently. She's nervous but she tries her best not to show it.
"Have you eaten?" she asked.
"I haven't, I was waiting for you actually."
"Huh?" Jeongyeon creased her forehead.
"You texted me, right? That you would visit me?"
She scratched her head, "Ah, ne, yes."
"I assumed you would come and here you are... Anyway, are those for me?" Jimin eyes the food on the table.
"Um, yes, I've brought you food."
"Wow, thank you..." he smiles ever so brightly and Jeongyeon was mesmerized. His smile...
"Imo! Can you please come here?!" He calls out all of a sudden and the woman who welcomed Jeongyeon came back.
"Please put those on the dining too," Jimin asked politely and the woman followed immediately. He said his thanks and they're alone again in silence.
"So, are you hungry?" Jimin spoke breaking the awkward silence.
She wanted to say no but her body acted first, she nodded yes.
"Then, let's go and eat first," he stood carefully. Jeongyeon keeps her eyes on him with a worry that he'll hurt himself.
"Do you want me to assist you?" she offers.
