Everything was on fire, abyss mages, hilichurls, heck even ruin guards were attacking. Crimson blood covered the town as you, jean, diluc, and Klee took cover in the cathedral. When this whole situation just started, venti said that he had to do something important and to just stay with the others. Afraid for your boyfriends safety, you grabbed your (sword/claymore/bow/spear) and ran outside.
"Y/N! What are you doing doing!? It's dangerous out there!" Jean ask, fear and confusion plastered on her face.
"I'm finding venti."
You said.
Before they could say another word, you were outside.
Ruin guards started shooting at you as you continue to dodge the attacks from abyss mages. As soon as you were out of sight, you heard a voice.
"Time to put this chaos to end my love, may you never forget this dear bard.."
You look up to see a angel like figure making a blue orb. You know it was venti, you screamed his name but it only fell upon deaf ears. You hesitantly took cover as the orb burst leaving your vision white and ears ringing for a couple of minutes.

After you recovered, you got up, everything was quite, the fighting stopped.
You took no time to sprint to the last place you saw venti. You're heart raced as beads of sweat dripping down your forehead.

But when you arrived, the worst is all you saw.
Venti, lifeless on the ground. No blood, just the body.
Tears fret to leave your eyes as you call his name. No answer can out of the beloved bard.
You kneel down to the stone ground of mondstat and check for a pulse. Nothing.

The tears fell from your eyes in rivers as you called his name.
Suddenly, it felt like an earthquake as the ground shook and ventis voice echoed 'wake up'.

You shot up from your sleep in a cold sweat, breathing completely off track. Venti was next you you, sighing in relief as he hurried to hush your cries.
He kissed your tears away as you sobbed into his chest.
His heart broke from feeling you clutch on him like a lifeline and cry sobs that even the deaf could hear.
He hated seeing you in this state.
"My dear, it was only a nightmare... I'm not going away any time soon dearest. I'm here now, and your safe."
Your shaking form pulled away from venti. Your E/C orbs met with his glowing teals ones.
"I..I thought I lost you..."
You breathed out.
Venti gave a sad smile and kissed your head.
"You didn't. I'm right here by your side. Always have been, always will be. I'm not going anywhere."
Happy tears fell as a little smile was placed upon your lips.
"Thank you.. for the reassurance my love.."
You said as you hugged him again.
Venti returned the hug as he strokes you back with one hand and plays with your hair with the other.
Every nightmare, venti will always be there to soothe your cry's.
