"Oh yeah and then Joshua was sad you didn't show up" Andrew laughed. "Yeah it's kind of cute" Erina smiled and looked down. "It's getting late, I should go. Don't hesitate to call me if you want to hang out anytime" Andrew smiled and walked away.  Erina stared at the sky. It couldn't all be a coincidence. I mean it's like if God had knocked on her door and she had said no and then three years later He decided to just bring her to Him. But for what? Why now? What did God want her to do? "I'll try" she mumbled "I'll try to understand all this, and You," Erina smiled and went home.

A month had passed since Joshua had seen Erina. He had tried contacting her but she would never get back to him or she would always tell him that she was busy.  "I have a meeting to attend this afternoon" Pastor Smith told him. "Another one" Joshua looked at him. His dad was having frequent meetings with other church leaders because they were planning a missions trip. "Yeah I'll be back in a bit" his dad grabbed his coat and left. Joshua sighed. "Should I invite Andrew over?" he asked himself "No he's probably busy. What if I just go to my dad's meeting?" Joshua grabbed his car keys and ran out the door.  Thankfully his dad was just two blocks away. "I'll just follow him" Joshua got in his car and began to drive. "Where do they even do these meetings at" he smirked. "Oh what why he going downtown?" Joshua kept his eye on his dad's car. He made sure that he was close enough to see his dad but not too close so that his dad would see him. "Where is he going?" Joshua looked around confused. "Wait," Joshua paused. His father finally parked his car. "He doesn't have a meeting  he has an appointment. A doctors appointment.

Joshua followed his dad into the hospital. "Take a seat" a male nurse told his dad. "Has he been coming here and lying this whole time" Joshua whispered to himself. "Is he sick?" Joshua gasped. His dad grabbed a magazine from a side table nearby and began to look at it. "I have to go this is too much" Joshua turned to leave. "Sir, the results came back and it doesn't look good, please follow me to get you checked up" the nurse told my dad. My dad sighed and followed him. Joshua's eyes widened. "He is sick" he looked around before walking out.

"Andrew hey it's me, Joshua I need to talk to you. You won't believe what happened today. It's too much to say over the phone. Call me back so we can meet up okay?" Joshua got in his car. "Please don't let it be something bad God" he closed his eyes and bowed his head. He started his car and drove into the city.
Andrew still hadn't called him back and Joshua began to get worried. "Why is everyone hiding?" Joshua asked. Then Erina came into his head. "I haven't seen her in a while" he mumbled. "No I can't call her and ask to see her. I'm not in a good state of mind " he nodded his head.
Suddenly his phone rang "Hey Joshy, sorry I didn't get back to you, I've been busy with church projects here and there. I'm at church just planning and stuff, we can hang out tomorrow if you want?" Andrew's voice message ended. "I'll just go surprise him at church" Joshua smiled.

"This book has really good theology" Andrew smiled. "What's theology?" Erina asked him. "The study of the nature of God" Andrew replied. "Oh I'll take it then" Erina grabbed the book from his hands. "Any questions about anything?" he asked her. "How can Jesus be God's son and also God" she looked at him. "Well "The Son" is more of a title than it being literal. Jesus is part of the trinity. Remember the Holy Spirit?" Andrew looked at Erina. "Yeah He's the one that lives inside people right?" Erina mumbled. "Right. So after Jesus went back to Heaven after He came to fulfill what He needed to fulfill He left us a gift. The Holy Spirit. That way we would always have God with us. The Holy Spirit also guides us. He's the one that convicts us" Andrew brushed his hair back "Do you see how the three of them work together as one God. Three distinct beings, one God" he grinned. "Oh yeah it makes sense" Erina giggled. "Oh by the way, do you think we could just tell Joshua about this, I don't like lying to him. He's my best friend and" "What do you want to tell me?" Erina and Andrew turned. There he was standing in the doorway of the small library at church. "Busy with church plans? Erina is your church plans?" Joshua felt a rush of anger and sadness. "I don't want an explanation, you're free to talk to whoever you want. But I don't like how you're using him Erina" Joshua walked over to her. "You yourself told me you knew we couldn't be together, so why is it different with him" he looked down into her eyes. "You surprised me Drew you really did" Joshua laughed and walked away. "Wait it's not what you think" Andrew began. "Save it. I'll see you on Sunday" Joshua left.

"Oh crap" Andrew fell down to his knees. "It's not your fault. It's mine. I asked you to do this without telling him," Erina bent down and grabbed Andrew's hand. "Come on let's go for a walk" she pulled him out of the library.

Joshua arrived home and his dad was sitting in the couch. "Where were you?" his dad asked him. "I was at church" Joshua looked at him "Where were you?" "I told you I went to a meeting" his dad sighed. "Right, the meeting" Joshua began walking up the stairs. He sat in bed and looked outside the window. "Why was this day so bad God?" Joshua looked at his ceiling. He grabbed his phone from his pocket. He scrolled through his contacts. Then it hit him. It had been a month since he has seen Erina. Were her and Joshua seeing each other all that time. Or was it since they met? When Andrew took Erina's mom home. Whenever it has started Joshua was still mad. Andrew knew he liked her. "Rachel?" he looked at her contact number. "Maybe I was too harsh on her" he thought. "I'll text her to just to see if she's okay" he typed "hello" and put his phone on his bed stand. PING! "Wow that was fast" Joshua grabbed his phone.
