"I won't be in history books; that's for you. But I loved you first. As long as they get that right, I don't care what they say."

"What are you going to get him?" asked Pansy as the pair walked to class. They were on their way to Potions.

"Get him for what?"

"Valentines Day!" she cried, nudging her as they passed Crabbe and Goyle trying to bully a Hufflepuff into handing over his chocolate cupcake from lunch. "Don't tell me you forgot about Saint Valentine and all his love and affection."

"It hadn't really occurred to me, honestly," muttered Rowan with a shrug. "With everything that's been going on, I'd completely forgotten."

Pansy rolled her eyes and said, "We've got time to go into Hogsmeade this weekend, we can find him something then."

"Are you even sure he's going to want something?"

"Of course he'll want something."

Rowan narrowed her eyes and nudged the girl with her elbow. "Why, did he get me something?"

"Maybe," sang Pansy with a grin. She nudged the girl back and looked ahead where her smile fell. "God, is there ever a moment where she isn't here?"

"Who–" Rowan started but the words fell off from her tongue.

"Look at you two," said Florence as she waltzed up with a smirk. "Looking very snug. Don't let Draco and Blaise catch you, they might get jealous."

"Are you sure you're not the jealous one?" Pansy let her eyes rake over the older girl with a smirk. "Looking a bit lonely these days, Flo. Such a shame no one wants to be around a two timing whore."

Rowan hid her grimace but she could tell Florence saw the remorse in her eyes. There was nothing she could hide from her sister.

"At least I'm not tied down to just one man," said Florence with a shrug. "It's much more fun when you can have options." Her eyes filtered over Rowan and in a swift look, she winked before leaving towards her own class.

Pansy tugged on Rowan's arm, pulling her along and towards Potions as she snarled, "It's like she wants to get hit."

"She must be looking for a fight," murmured Rowan, glancing behind her and watching her sister disappear down a different corridor. "Maybe the dark lord has finally stopped giving her tasks."

Pansy kept her same scowl all the way to class and up until the moment they sat down at their respected tables. Rowan had been placed at a table with Ron, Hermione, and Harry but considering they were supposed to be 'enemies' she'd seated herself with Draco, Pansy, Blaise, and Theo. Crabbe and Goyle had been in the class but had dropped, seeing as they failed to show for majority of the year.

Rowan had just assumed they were off tormenting some first year for cupcakes and sweets to be bothered to come.

Draco arrived shortly after Rowan had, his eyes meeting hers as she lifted her head to see who had entered the room. He looked in better spirits than usual and she found the happy aura around him to be intoxicating. He sat down, pushing his books against the table as he plopped down in the chair beside her.

"Why do you look so smug this afternoon?" snapped Pansy, still irritated from her conversation with Florence. "Finally get out of that makeup work in Transfiguration?"
