Sonata was drunk and she was feeling emotional. A slow song was playing and everyone had a partner to dance with, except her. She wanted to leave. She was going to leave. She slipped out the bar when no one was paying attention, not that they were anyway. She took a deep breath of fresh air as she stared out into the street ahead of her. The nightlife was more beautiful in Konoha. It seemed like the streetlights shined brighter. She took her shoes off and started to walk. Her mind flashed back to Naruto and Choi holding each other close as they slow danced.
Her bottom lip started to to tremble and she blamed the drinks for her emotions. She sniffed, trying to hold back her tears.
She didn't hear footsteps come running behind her and someone grabbing her hand. "What the hell? You should tell someone when you're leaving. What is the matter with you?" Naruto started off shouting but his voice lowered when he saw unshed tears in Sonata's eye. "Hey, why are you crying?" He softly, asked.
"I'm drunk, I think." She sniffed. "And I hate you."
Naruto sighed and pulled Sonata close. "Let's get you home."
She was surprisingly quiet the entire way, he brought her over to his place. He handed her a glass of water and squatted down next to her. "Who would've thought you were a lightweight and emotional when you drink."
She watch him, watch her. She missed his pretty blue eyes, how they shined with every emotion he tried to hide, which he could never do. He was a pretty passionate person and showed his feelings with no hesitation. She missed running her hands through his hair as they just laid together being lazy.
"Where's Kiba?" Sonata stated, placing her glass down and getting up quickly. "This is all his fault."
Naruto stood up too, confused. "What is Kiba's fault?" Then he took a step back, surprised at the sudden transformation. Why was she in her Ōtsutsuki form? "Uh, Sonata?"
She then switched back and fell back on the couch. Her eyes filled back with tears. "It's his fault. He never should've kissed me. Maybe then you would still love me or at least treat me like a friend. You used to be so nice and sweet to me. We used to be best friends. I fell in love with this village because of you. How can you act like I mean nothing?"
Naruto was now the one who was trying to blink back his tears. "If you only you knew how I really felt, Sonata. You silly, silly girl." He took another step away from her. "You deserve so much more than me. I hurt you and I can never forgive myself for that."
Sonata didn't hear him because she was passed out on his couch. She truly was a lightweight.
Naruto placed a blanket on her, shaking his head. "I'm a good actor if you really think you mean nothing to me. You mean the world to me."
Sonata woke up on a couch that smelled so familiar. She wanted to never leave it. She rubbed her eyes as she got up.
"Oh look, the lightweight is up." Naruto smiled from the loveseat he was seating in. "I have tea made, do you want a cup?"
Sonata nodded her head, looking around his apartment. He had a few pictures up, she smiled when she saw a picture of them with Jiraiya sensei. She missed Jiraiya.
He handed her a cup of tea and was about to sit back down when his door was knocked on. He scratched his head, unsure on who it could be. Sonata watched him disappear to answer it. She remembered what happened last night and was a little embarrassed by her outburst. She wanted to apologize before she left. She took a sip of the tea and was surprised that it was her favorite.
