Sonata placed Kaito under a genjutsu that slowed his heart rate down and knocked him out, appearing for him to look dead. She made sure that his fingers, forehead, and neck were chill because those were the most likely places they would check if they didn't trust Shikamaru or herself.

"This is exciting." Sonata grinned, looking over at Shikamaru, who was carrying the prince's body over his shoulders.

Shikamaru rolled his eyes. "We view excitement differently."

"Come on Shikamaru, I know your heart is beating with anticipation over there." She stated, her arms swinging at her sides. She let out a low hum as the palace came into eyesight. "The palace is really pretty. Why is it built so far from the village?" She questioned, more to herself than anyone.

"I'm pretty sure that's because of the politicians. They see themselves as superior than the villagers." Shikamaru shook his head. "It's ridiculously cliche."

Shikamaru nodded to the people guarding the front gates and they let both of them in. "Must be nice being related to someone powerful." Sonata teased.

He rolled his eyes, ignoring her comment. He walked us into the middle of the corridor, where there was a spiral of steps.

Sonata looked up, sensing someone watching them. A woman in her 30s was staring down at them. "You can always count leaf ninjas to do your tasks for you." The lady spoke. "That boy was a nuisance. We finally got rid of him."

"So are we getting paid for this?" Sonata asked, "Because I would be highly upset if I wasn't."

"Don't be hasty. Bring him up and follow me." The lady responded, gesturing for us to follow her.

"I don't know about you but I don't want to keep carrying a dead body. Is there someone to take him off our hands?" Shikamaru said, dropping the Prince's body from his shoulders.

The lady narrowed her eyes but snapped her fingers. Sonata felt two quick ninjas approaching. One next to the Lady and the other one next to the prince's body. "Bring the body up." She ordered the ninja. "You two, please come and get your payment."

Shikamaru and Sonata followed the lady, Sonata kept a keen eye on the ninja that held the prince's body. She didn't want bodily harm to happen to Kaito, Shikamaru dropping him was enough.

They stepped into another huge room but this room was practically empty. The lady walked forward until she was facing the empty wall, she placed a hand on the wall and a stand started coming up from the floor. Stacks of gold sat on the stand, which made Sonata feel disgusted by the politics running this village.

"This is the room." Shikamaru said. "This was pretty easier than I thought."

Sonata knew exactly where the document was hidden but they had another problem to deal with first.

Right now Kaito was tied up with one of the ninjas from earlier, hovering over him with a sword pointed towards his neck. Kaito was still under the genjutsu. The older lady tapped the gold with her nails as she glowered at us. "Did you two honestly think I wouldn't figure out what was going on? You made things easier for us. Not only will we have the prince captured but once word get out that a royal family member killed two leaf ninjas. It'll cause a lot of disruption between these two countries, eh?"

Sonata tugged on her gloves as she spoke, "Well I guess we can't let that happen. Right Shikamaru?"

Shikamaru sighed because of how troublesome this was becoming but agreed.

The older lady snapped her fingers and the other ninja from earlier appeared. "Kill these two and keep the prince alive." She ordered as she walked towards the exit.
