Memory Seven: I love you, Always

Narrator

The lady is waiting for the doctors to come out of the ICU. After she rushed the girl to the hospital the nurses and the doctor rushed the girl in. The hospitals hallways was filled with rushing noise and loud voices. The place was in total chaos and disorganized, and so is the lady's thoughts.
She waited anxiously outside the emergency room, she waited for hours, negative thoughts started to creep in, she started blaming herself and thought it was all her fault. The doctor came out the emergency room after quite a while and relief was written on her face. The Doctor said the patient was okay and stable but she needs to be away from stress, she needs to stop doing too much physical activities that might cause her heart to give up, like what happened earlier. That's all they can do for now, as much as they want to conduct an heart operation, the kid is too young and she might not survive if they do the operation. The best way they can do is for them to just avoid giving the child too much stress and just wait for the right time to conduct the operation.
"Baby, hi, sorry. I'm sorry for not being able to protect and look after you. Mommy will try her best to do a good job in keeping you safe so please don't give up. Not just yet okay? Not this early. Mommy loves you so so much" The lady quietly said to her child laying in the hospital bed, with tubes and machines beeping as she held her hand tightly.

Sakura woke up from her slumber, catching her breath and broke to a silent cry. Harvey on the other who just arrived saw Sakura crying, and having a hard time breathing rushed to calm her down. He asked her what's wrong but she just keeps shaking her head. Not knowing what to do, Harvey held Sakura's hand, hugged her lightly and patted her head. Sakura was exhausted that she slept after she cried on Harvey's arms. She woke up after a few hours and found herself still holding Harvey's hand who's now sleeping on a chair. She slowly removed their holding hands to not wake him up. Sakura was embarrassed by the thought of a stranger sleeping on the chair helped her, hugged her, held her hands and watched over her instead of having fun at their spring Festivals events but other than that, she's thankful that a stranger helped her. Sakura stared at Harvey, "he looks so calm" she thought, his  black straight hair that looks soft and shiny, his thick dark brows that's perfectly lined, his pointed nose, his perfectly defined jawline, his thin pinkish lips and his long lashes. He looks perfect.
"Thank you" Sakura quietly uttered to Harvey before he woke up. Harvey woke up and haven't found Sakura on her bed earlier. He looked around and found Sakura talking to the School Doctor. Sakura gave the doctor an apple, few chocolates and flowers to thank her for her kindness and checking up on her. Sakura glaced at Harvey who is now awake and shyly smiled at him. Sakura thanked the Doctor again and excused herself.

Sakura

"Doc, here. Uhm thank you for letting me rest here and for keeping my secret" I gave her the apple, the chocolates at the flower– a fake one– I bought earlier. I excused my self and walked towards Harvey Rein– that's his name, that's what I saw written on his ID.
"Uh hi." I awkwardly greeted. "Here. I just want to thank you for bringing me here at the clinic, thank you for helping me and staying here. And uhm sorry for interrupting and causing you trouble" I said and hand him the bag full of packs of chocolate, some cookies, an apple, an orange juice and a can of coffee but he just started at it so I cleared my throat.
" Uhm, I know this is not enough to thank you so tell me what else can I do to repay you" I said and he finally accepted it, he looked inside the bag, then glanced at the Doctor's table.
" Where's my flowers? " He asked innocently while blinking his eyes. I was shocked at the sudden question but he's cute! I bit my inner cheek to stop myself from smiling and composed my self before answering
"I thought you wouldn't like flowers, so I uh didn't get you one" I smiled
" Well, too bad I like flowers." He said and smiled too. 'cute' wait, he sounds familiar though but oh well probably heard his voice somewhere in school.
" Well I can buy you one, let's go?" he was taken aback but he immediately nodded, he stared at me and looks like he remembered something.
"Are you okay?" he asked. I nodded.
"thanks" and smiled.
"Have you eaten? I bought you food earlier" he glaced at the side table and found a packed food.
" Yes, I..I already ate, I felt hungry earlier so I ate when I bought that"pertaining to the bag. He nodded, but now his brows are a little furrowed.
"Uh you? How about you? Miss Yuko told me you didn't leave the clinic during lunch time, I'm sure you're hungry. Let's go to the cafeteria, my treat" he didn't responded so I held his arm and dragged him. I said my thank you and goodbye to miss Yuko–the doctor and headed to the cafeteria.

Rein doesn't talk much, he let me dragged him to the cafeteria in silence. He ordered a pizza, and a bottle of soft drink. He was about to pay but I told the one in charge to include it on my order which was a slice of chocolate cake and orange juice and payed for it. He didn't complained and we ate in silence. After eating, I asked him where we can buy fresh flowers because the booth who sell them already closed. He said there's a shop nearby, beside the art gallery on the street corner. When we arrived, I was shocked when we arrived at the intersection on our subdivision! It's just a few meters away from our house!  

"Welcome!" a girl greeted us outside the flower shop arranging flowers. I think she's just a year or two younger than me. I moved away a little so I won't embarrass myself again. Thinking about what happened earlier makes me want to run away. Keep it cool Sakura, act cool, it's cool. It's no use to be shy, you can't do anything about it, it already happened. Wahh! But still! It's so embarrassing! I'm trying to act cool and such in front of this man to at least not make him awkward! He helped me so I shouldn't make the situation more awkward!
"Hi Rose" Rein said causing me to snap out. Wah, they know each other so he must be a regular here, cute. Eeer! Erase! Damn it Sakura, why do you always say everything are cute! But waah! he is cute!
" You're here again today! And oh~ you are with someone" she smiled widely and squinted her eyes before fixing her glasses.
"Hi there! Welcome to our flower shop! I'm Rose Dahlia, you can call me Rose or Dahlia– whatever you prefer and I'm the daughter of the owner" she said before handing her hand to shake.
" Sakura" I said and shook her hand.
"Sakura, let's go inside!" and before I knew it, Dahlia is already dragging me inside the shop. Nooooo! I'm doomed!

"you okay?" Rein texted. Aah what am I gonna do?! I buried my face on my pillow remembering how I embarrassed myself again infront of Rein and Dahlia.

" Is it okay for me to call you Rie? Sakura is a bit too long for me hahaha I hope you don't mind" Dahlia said still pulling me with her walking around the shop. I wouldn't want to be rude but I don't have much of a choice so I just nodded and decided not to speak to avoid inhaling pollens.
" what's your favorite flower?!" she continued, she let go of my hand and placed an unfamiliar flower infront of my face. "How about this you like this? " she asked but I just shaked my head with a slight smile.
" Hey, am I being too much? Am I invading your personal space? Am I making you uncomfortable?" She asked continuously. I blinked couple of times then shook my head.
"Yes, your making her uncomfortable" Rein said seriously.
" No! I mean no. I'm just not feeling well" I said then trying to find my handkerchief. Rein seemed to notice me finding something out of my pocket.
"You okay? You wanna go home? You need more rest" I cleared my throat before facing him.
"I- I'm okay, you *sniff* should choose which flower you like then I'll pay for it" I tried to smile trying to stop myself from sneezing.
"Sakura! Here! I thought this flower suits you!" Dahlia suddenly showed up, handing me a flower. My eyes widened and before I know it. I'm saying sorry to Rein who's still left frozen after I sneezed on his face. Can I curse? Ghad Sakura really? You've met him just hours ago and you've already caused him so much trouble! 

"Aaah!" I shrieked once more after remembering what I did to him earlier before composing myself to reply.
"yes, thank you and sorry"  after reflecting on my embarrassing moments I made within this day I decided to sleep.
