Memory Fourteen: A Wave of Change

I woke up feeling tired and lightheaded, instead of feeling recharged and refreshed after a nice long sleep.

I feel like I've been in a slumber party, and stayed up all night because I had to wake up every hour after I sleep because of having nightmares. I thought I no longer have nightmares, but I guess it only took a one week vacation.

Sometimes, I really do wonder if nightmares are just a product of our minds– because as they say, our minds works extra extra freely as we're asleep and  unconscious, or if we actually experienced it–at some point in our lives, somehow, somewhere, at a forgotten time and place.

As I walk out the house after having a quick cold shower and had a cup of coffee to wake my nerves up, I took a ride on a bus and closed my eyes to suppress dizziness  everytime the bus makes a sudden stop.

I feel like my head is about to explode, and I would pass out any moment. With heavy steps, I came in the classroom, carrying my books with me.

Today, is the last day–friday, before the quarterly exam. So, everyone came in earlier than usual, everyone seemed in a hurry, getting signatures, and passing requirements every subjects need. Fortunately, I had nothing else to do because I did everything on time.

As I took a seat, I glanced at Daisy and Lily talking. She's smiling brightly, like a ray of sunshine, shining after a long time of rain and gloomy days.

I walked towards them and greeted them good morning. I didn't asked Daisy anything and just told her I was glad to have her back, to see her, laughing and smiling.

It was a busy day for all of us, we were all busy reviewing for the incoming exams and the professors were also busy preparing test papers that will be used for the exam.

My energy was drained because of the hectic and tiring day, so I decided to buy canned coffee during lunch break and had lots of chocolate.

The girls asked why I bought lots of chocolate and I told them I needed to recharge, I offered some chocolates to them but they declined so I ate all of it happily.

Lily was restless during lunch, she was busy looking around the cafeteria from time to time everytime the cafeteria door opens.

After lunch, we continued reviewing for the rest of the day, and just like that, our day ended.

I went home early because I was very exhausted. I went straight to bed without taking a shower or eating dinner.

I wasn't able to wait for Mom like I used to for the past few days, but I couldn't careless and slept like I've been forbidden to do so.

The next day,I woke up early with my stomach growling. I was starving that I finished all the bacons and scrambled eggs I cooked, after eating almost half of the food inside the fridge, I decided to wash the plates and clean.

After cleaning I decided to go to the supermarket and do some grocery shopping. I wanted to try baking cookies– I was craving for chocolate chip cookies because of the cook book I saw few days ago, while I was buying  pens and other school materials for the incoming exam.

As you already know, I am not a good cook and I almost burned down our house, but there's a quote that says "try and try until you succeed", so I'll give baking a shot. After all, in everything–  every wins and failures, the lessons and the knowledge you gained from that experience is all that matters, and it's definitely worth to try– chocolate chip cookies is definitely worth the try.

After buying all the ingredients I needed, I went home and decided to watch a video on how to bake, and studied for about an hour.

After learning the recipe, I started baking. The recipe I followed was for bigger servings– and I didn't know that. I baked three batches of chocolate chip cookies and it was too many, way too many for me to eat alone, fortunately, it wasn't that bad.
