Unexpected

Part 8

Christen pov
    Today is our last day me and Tobin fly back home tomorrow morning. Some of the girls already left there's only a couple of us left. Those of us that are left are all having a movie night in allies room. Crystal and Julie built a little spot for them on one side of the room. Allie and Alex were on Allie's bed. Sonnet and Lindsey were on some pillows on the other side. While Tobin and I are laying on the other bed. We decided to watch Friday the 13th and Tobin was not happy. Everyone voted against her. She is currently holding my hand under the cover some of the people in here still don't know about us. If they did she would probably have her head buried in the crook of my neck.
     The movie end and we all went back to our rooms. Tobin went straight to the bed pouting. "Uh what's wrong Toby"
    "Why did you vote against me you know how much I hate horror movies yet you voted yes."
    "Oh Toby your really mad about a movie"
    "I'm not mad about the movie we'll kinds but that's besides the point I'm mad that I couldn't be close to you all I could do was squeeze your hand under a cover."
     "I'm sorry" I said a little sad I hate that we are hiding I honestly would love to show her off but we can't because of the public. I mean I guess we can tell the whole team but either way we can't be real we have to hide it when we are here. At home it won't be a problem because we already act like a couple besides the kissing.
    "It's not your fault it was an equal decision to let them find out on there own"
    "Maybe we should just tell the team I mean I don't see why we can't tell them they won't have a problem if they did they'd have a problem with Ash and Ali"
    "That's true"
     "Why don't we text the group chat you know the one with out coach"
     "Okay"
CP: hey guys Tobin and I have something we want to tell you.
AL: finally.
RL: what is it Chris.
TH: Christen and I are together
ES: took you long enough
LH: seriously about time
    We just kept getting text like that. It's kinda not surprising that they already knew everyone has always suspected something between us.
CP: we just thought we should confirm it for you guys.
MR:😂
    "So now that's done let's talk about something else that's important" I said.
    "Okay" I could tell she was getting nervous I grabbed her hands and felt her relax a bit.
    "Nothing bad I just want to talk about how we are going to tell our parents."
    "Oh I was just going to tell them on the ride home from the airport"
    "Okay so you want to tell them separate and not together"
     "Well I figured we would tell them ourselves and not together"
    "Yeah I think it will be better like that"
    "Okay now that's out of the way you want to shower first?"
    "Yeah" I grabbed my clothes and got in the shower. I let the water run against my skin. It was hot but calming. I kinda scared to tell my parents. I honestly have no idea how they are going to react. I mean I know the love Tobin but how are they going to feel when they find out we are together. I'm just scared that everything with change.
    After a long shower of overthinking I get out and brush my teeth. When I walk out of the bathroom I find Tobin fast asleep on the bed. She is laying on the covers instead of under. Her phone was laying on her chest. I look down to see the screen was on. She was looking at a picture of us together on the field. We both look so happy. The picture was about a year old from the last World Cup we played in. I smiled and removed her phone from her chest I plugged hers and mine in. I cover Tobin up with the blanket lightly removing it from underneath her so she doesn't wake up. I climb in next to her turn off the light. When I got comfortable I felt arms wrapped around my waist. I smiled and moved back into them. Tobin nuzzled her head into my neck.
    I get woken from my sleep to the sound of my alarm. I turn over to Tobin and lightly rubbing her back and kiss her forehead. "Tobin we gotta get up"
   "But I don't wanna"
   "Tobin we have to check out in like 30 minutes we gotta get everything out of here"
     "Fine" we both got out of bed and packed up what we had  left to pack and got dressed. We were both wearing sweatpants and sweatshirts. We go down to the lobby and had in the keys. Allie soon joined us and we got in the car to the airport.
    "You guys exited to get back home and not have to sleep in a hotel room"
    "I guess" is all that Tobin said she's been very quiet. I think she just tired.
   "What about you Chris"
   "I'm excited to get back home and see my dogs, plus my family. I'm a little sad that I won't be waking up to Tobin everyday anymore" Tobin stared out the window while me and Allie talked.
    When we got to the airport we all we through security and everything and met up at the gate. I got Tobin and I  coffee. I handed to her she slightly smiled and said "thank you." There is definitely something going on with her. Our flight soon got called.
    After a long plane ride we finally made it back home. Tobin slept the whole time while I sat yes awake worried. We both hugged Allie and said goodbye. We then found our moms waiting for us. Tobins mom didn't look that happy. I went to hug Tobin but she pulled away. "I love you Chris" is what she whispered to me because she walked over to her mom. They didn't even hug they just walked to the exit in silence.
    "Oh Christen how I missed you" my mom said with her arms wide open.
    "I missed you too mom" we hugged for a few seconds then she put her arm around me and lead me out of the airport.
    "So did you have fun"
    "Yep actually mom I have something I want to tell you"
    "Yeah honey what's up"
    "Okay so didn't really think of what to say after that part" I was fidgeting in my seat. "Um mom I love Tobin"
