Weeks have passed, school was nearing its way across the kingdom, everyone was excited, a bunch of parents with their children were hoarding to Evergreen's Forest to grab a bouquet to cheer and congratulate on their children, nieces or nephews, cousins, the familial list can go on. So to prevent herself from accidentally sleeping in for her work shifts, her dear friend Percival who they've grown attached to in a short amount of time became a part timer at her place. She needed the help desperately, having only herself to replenish and sell her products was draining her faster than she can keep up with.
He was fine with being a co-worker to her, as he had quite enjoyed helping Bellae grow flowers with the help of her magic remedies. Each growing day had made them close, it was almost like a newfound brother and sister bond. Deep down she truly enjoyed Percival's presence, however she couldn't help thinking of her family back in her ex-homeworld, her younger siblings. Her heart ached at the thought of them, but pushed it back down to keep her head leveled, and look forward to the present and future, never the past.
The store was quite busy, nearly giving a retail holiday's work vibe to it. Evergreen's Forest was packed like nobody's business, Bellae and Percival tried their very best to keep pushing on. A few hours have passed, and shockingly the store had started to dwindle down in customers, people have gotten their pre orders of flowers, all was left is for Bellae to give them instructions on how to make them thrive for a month with her secret herbal remedy, a similar kind to what she gave Percival weeks ago.
Currently he was out in the greenhouse while Bellae covered the front, keeping an eye out for more customers if they came inside. Reading a magazine about the daily news within Vale, she was curious of what life surrounded her the more she stayed there. For a few moments everything was quiet, until the door chime to alert Bellae that someone had come in. Lifting her head up, she smiled and said in a welcoming tone, "Hiya! Welcome to Evergreen's Forest, how can I help you today?"
A young girl wearing a long red hood came walking in, in awe with so many flowers surrounding the place. "Hi! I overheard some people and my uncle talking about how amazing this place was, and I wanted to check it out." She exclaimed, slightly jumping up and down in excitement.
"Aww, I'm so happy that my shop is being talked about in the city. Welcome, welcome! We have a wide variety in flowers, shrubs, and trees. Bigger plants are in the back where the greenhouse is at." Bellae commented.
The girl went to the rose section of the store, staring at the different colors of roses decorated around, it was a beautiful sight to see for her. She was looking at them for a short amount of time, Bellae was curious and asked if she needed help with anything, "Do you need help with anything, I'll be glad to help." waiting for the girl to respond back.
"Oh! Um... Sorry, I was lost in thought." She smiled sadly, turning around to meet the Xodiacians gaze.
"It's alright." Bellae said, her face nearly faltered in her smile as she saw the saddened expression upon the young girl.
"Let me introduce myself, my name is Bellae Evergreen, what's yours?" She asked, letting her customer know her name to be acquainted with one another.
"I'm Ruby Rose, nice to meet you." Ruby introduced herself.
"I am here to gather some red and white roses for my mom, and got sidetracked, heh" She laughed nervously, almost feeling bad for making her wait as she was picking through flowers.
Bellae shook her head, as if reading Ruby's mind, "No worries, just wanted to check on you since you looked out of it. Is it your mom's birthday?" she asked, wanting to get to know what Ruby was here for, as she could dazzle up the roses to make them prettier if it was for a special celebration.
