Chapter 2- Wandering Around the World of Remnant

Bellae was awoken by a knock on the hotel door, her eyes fluttered open and she let out a big yawn that showed her fangs. A voice spoke through the door, "It's morning, if you stay past twelve you'll have to pay extra." It was the old lady from the front desk last night. She had come to alert the Xodiacian that her stay in the hotel was coming to an end. That was fine, though, Bellae only needed one night to rest up and head back out in the city to look for some housing.

Getting up from the bed, she made her way to the bathroom, needing to relieve herself while also preparing a shower for her to clean up after herself. Feeling icky from crash landing and scraping her shoulder last night. It's healed since then, due to her being a Xodiacian, but she still felt the need to be hygienic about things. With a happy sigh, Bellae dresses herself back in a fresher pair of the same clothes she wore prior. A growl emitted from her stomach as she put away her old dirty pair inside her holographic bag.

As Bellae opened the door of the motel room, her eyes winced in pain when she was met with the bright sky. "Goddamnit..." She muttered to herself, quickly putting on her cloak again to hide her ginormous wings and to keep her eyes shielded.

Crowds upon people walked through the bustling city, going through their everyday tasks, her eyes grazed on them. Curiosity was getting to her, however her stomach had other plans. Growling loudly to alert Bellae she needed food in her system. She whimpered to herself and began walking towards other city buildings, looking around to find a cafe to dine in. A few minutes had passed from walking around the area, and eventually Bellae found a cute little restaurant.

She opened the door that let out a chime sound to welcome in her entrance. "Welcome, welcome! I'll take your order in just a minute" A server in the front side spoke up, giving Bellae a welcoming smile.

After they finished up making someone else's drink and food to be served, it was Bellae's turn to order. "What can I get for you today, ma'am?" The worker said, still smiling to be polite.

"Hmm..." Bellae took a minute to look up in the menu above her to see what sounded appetizing. "I'll take a caramel macchiato, egg with bacon burrito and hash browns." She said, resisting the urge to wag her tail in front of everyone as she was excited to eat and drink.

"You got it, your total is shown on the screen!" They said, awaiting her to pay.

Bellae nodded, taking out her card and inserting it into the machine to pay the total. Once payment had been made, she now had to wait on the other side of the counter to get her food and drink. Luckily the wait wasn't that long, only about seven or so minutes, the food came out prepared on a tray for her to pick up and carry to a table to eat. "Thank you." Bellae spoke, nodding once more then took the tray to an empty table.

Taking the cup of coffee from her tray, she was excited to try out a different planet's brewed joe. With a gluttonous gulp came with a wave of new emotions and tastes. 'This is fantastic!' Bellae squealed, trying to conceal her happiness with this new yet wonderful taste of alien coffee. This was nothing compared to her old homeworld's, but it was something different, something she'll have to get used to. Next item for her to try was the eggs with bacon burrito, along with crispy hashbrowns that were in the form of a giant yet flat tater tot.

With one bite into her burrito, she purred at the taste, enjoying everything. Bellae took a bite of her hashbrown too, mind beginning to wonder off, eyes dilated to show her blank stare in public. Thankfully no one was paying attention to her, everyone else in the world was grabbing their coffee and rushing to work like their lives depended on it. 'Work...' She thought to herself, humming in worry if she was going to be able to get a job, find herself a nice small apartment and enjoy the rest of her millenia lifespan alone.
