Prequel; A Xodiacian in Remnant (RWBY Qrow Branwen x OC Bellae Evergreen)

Chapter 19- Baby Talk

A/N- Aaah, once again this took awhile to write, I never really wrote something with pregnancy and issues regarding that. And with the added uhhh... "daddy and mommy issues" as well LMAO. Literally I did not have Bellae planned this far out, but she's getting so much more backstory and character development, I love it <3

Looking towards the couch, he saw Bellae sprawled on there, passed out. Walking closer to her, he noticed her tear stained cheeks and blushed face, she was crying. Qrow's eyes scoured to see the surroundings beside her, and witnessed her living room being overrun by discarded boxes and bags of food. 'Is she...having cravings or something? Why -' Qrow wondered.

This made Qrow think of one thing, and one thing alone; she's pregnant and the herbal medicine she gave herself didn't work. While he was lost in thought, Bellae moved around on the couch and awoke from her nap. Her eyes fluttered for a moment before jolting far away from Qrow. Frightened to see him. "You weren't supposed to see this -" Bellae bawled, the heightened senses overrun her body, causing her to hiccup here and there.

"No no no, no! Shh, Bellae it's okay," Qrow gently hushed, leaning forward before a hiss coming from Bellae made him back off, flinching. "I'm not upset -" He tried to say, but that was covered in another sob coming from the Xodiacian, her jaw clicking with the added stress by the minute, her hands covering herself, wings moving around like wild ribbons.

"You should be upset, the herbal tea I took didn't fucking work!" The guilt never washed away from that fateful night, if only Bellae had self control, if only there was a different type of herb she could've made to dilute her heat. But that was so many 'if, ands and buts', it didn't happen. She kneeled down on the couch to try and calm herself down, tears painted the cushions. Qrow tried to get closer to the Xodiacian, which resulted in a louder more clicking hisses, her head lifted up from hiding behind her arms. He saw her open maw, the Huntsman flinched and staggered away from Bellae. "I-I'm sorry." Belleae clicked, looking down again with such shame. "I didn't want you to see me like this." Her voice cracking under the last sentence.

All Qrow could do was stare at her for what felt like minutes, he never witnessed Bellae so overwhelmed with sorrowful emotions. He continued to stay quiet, letting her ease her emotions on her own terms. Bellae successfully calmed down after some time, her maw closes, clicking ceases when it's fully shut. "I didn't want you to see that..." She grimaced, still shaky in movements around Qrow.

He shook his head, notifying her that it was alright, remembering that she is indeed an alien, otherworldly and a Goddess, sure his initial reaction was out of fear, but he calmed down once he understood the stress in their...situation. Qrow closed his eyes and let out a sigh, "I know, and I'm sorry for busting inside your house again, I should've learned from my first mista-accident in doing so." he stumbled with his words almost saying something that he'd regret, his head started to sweat when Bellae squinted hearing his words.

"'Mistake', yeah, that sounds about right..." She scoffed, starting to feel overwhelmed a little bit again, Qrow could sense the uneasiness in the air, she hid herself behind her wings, the tendrils from the lower part coiled around, even slapping Qrow as he attempted to go ahead and touch her.

"W-wait, Bellae that's not..." Qrow started, lowering his voice a bit with the Xodiacian flinching, he took a deep breath and tried to continue on, "Fuck, I didn't mean to put it like that, yes we enjoyed ourselves but did we both want that, while you were in a very vulnerable situation? I feel so awful that we're having to be parents early when we said that would come in later." Bellae's frown slowly disappeared when she started to understand this nervous jabber of his. How could she forget that Qrow is already a dad - biologically - to Ruby, but not being allowed to raise her, at all.
