        "Where has he been?"

"He still wont leave his room. Its been weeks Nina, I'm worried." Alice says through the phone. I sigh.

"Alright, I'll see if i can figure out whats up."

"You know I love you, right?" she giggles. I havnt spoken to Ashton in weeks. I'm still angry with him. If I can show up to bury my boyfirend, he can show up too. I grab my keys off the table and move swiftly out the door, slamming it behind me. It only takes me a few minuets to drive over to Ash's. I knock on the door, but no one answers. I know he's home, his car is in the driveway. The light in his bedroom is on, so I decide to take it back to middle school and clib the big maple tree next to his house and shimmy my way onto the roof. When I do, the window is already cracked open and I see him inside, staring blankly at a wall.

"Ash?" I say, pushing the window open. He doesnt mmove to greet me.

"Ashton?" nothing. I touch his shoulder.

"Ashton, where have you been? You havent spoken to any of us in weeks. We miss you." His sandy curls are dishevled and his face is pale. Dark circles rim his eyes and it looks like he's lost weight.

"Ash, come on." I shake his shoulder. Still no response.

        "Ashton."

        "ASH!"

I shake him wildly, trying to get him to look at me. He stares straight through me, like im not even there.  Tears come before i can choke them back.
"Ashton, please! Talk to me! Say something! Look at me!"

He stares blankly into space, eyes that were once dancing with joy now sucked lifeless. Hes a fucking shell, nothing more.

        "Ashton please..."

I stand in front of him, unable to shake him from a death that has his him harder than a brick.

Now not only have I lost my boyfriend, I've lost my best friend too...
