"You ready to go, Nina?" Alice shouts to me from the bathroom, I walk to the door way and she turns to me.

"Does this look okay?" I ask, turning a little to look at myself in the mirror. The black body-con dress Alice has lent me hugs me in all the right places and the Louboutin Daffodlies I stole from my bitch of a mother years ago pump up my small 5 foot 2 self to a stunning 5 foot 8.

"You look great!" she squeels. She looks radient in her glittery champane colored dress and patent leather sky high stilettos. Alice called me last night and practically begged me to go to a party down in the city with her. Some sort of underground club scene that shes into. I didnt want to go at first, but when I was hanging out with the boys and Alice called me for the 5th time, Luke and Calum talked me into it. My olny deal was that they had to come with. I wasnt going to the city alone, just me and Alice.

"So when are Luke and Cal getting here?" Alice asks, widening her eyes to put on another coat of mascara. I shrug, bumping her with my hip a bit to get a corner of the mirror. I grab a tube of red lipstick from the counter and just as i finish putting it on my phone buzzes.

        "We're outside." Luke says

"Well come inside, dumbass. You know the door's unlocked."

A few moments later we hear the front door creak open and footsteps and muttering downstairs. I smile at Alice and lead the way downstairs to find the boys raiding my fridge for food.

"Does your dad even notice that food goes missing?" Alice asks

"Al, hes never here. why would he notice?" i mumble. she shrugs and grabs Calum's wrist.

"Come on guys, we gotta go, we're gonna be late." She says

        "You're sure they dont card?"

        "Yes, Luke. I am sure"

We shuffle into Cals car and drive into the city, blasting music the whole way. As we drive down the highway, Mikey's favorite All Time Low song comes on. We all freeze. Nobody has talked about him since the funeral. Maybe its just too hard a memory to dredge up. I sit in the front seat with Cal he reaches to skip the song. I touch his wrist gently.

        "Don't."

I turn the volume up and sing at the top of my lungs, everyone else joins in.

Wendy we can get away

I promise if you’re with me, say the word and we’ll find a way

I can be your lost boy, your last chance

Your "everything better" plan

Oh, somewhere in Neverland

I can hear him, singing along to every word, just like he used to.

"Password?" The man behind the door grumbles. Oh great, its one of THOSE parties.

"Cant hold us down." Alice says. The big metal door to the warehouse creeks open and the booming bass becomes even louder. Alice squeeks and pulls Calum by the hand in the door. Luke looks at me and I shrug, following them in. Luke trucks in behind me

The strobe lights flash, making everything surreal. I push my way over to the bar and order a drink, chugging it down quickly and grabbing another one within seconds. Eveything becomes a bit blurred around the edges as I shuffle across to the dance floor. The music pulsates and shakes the ground, drowning out every thought I could have. people dance around me and i lose myself in them, becoming part of the crowd. Some guy is going around to people handing them little pink tablets that I can only assume is E. I watch Cal and Alice swallow the pills and I see Luke watching me, wary of what I might do. But I need to forget. I need my mind to be hazy so I dont see Michael anymore. It hurts too much to see himevery time i close my eyes. I cant keep going through my head being swallowed by my thoughts, knowing its my fault that hes gone, that the only boy i have ever loved is dead because i couldnt see how much he needed me. So i take the small pill in my hand and dry swallow it. Who cares anymore...
