"Mental attraction is much stronger than the physical one. From one mind you don't get rid, not even by closing your eyes".

After seeing Ethan Cooper get inside that fancy car, I take control over my body and thoughts. However, a soft tremble in my legs makes me feel unsure of my walking.

I clumsily walk outside the alley, look behind to make sure that none of those thugs is in the same place and I put that encounter to an end.

Walking to my apartment would take me 1 hour or more, so I prefer to take public transport.

Sitting down on the bus, I swim deep down in my thoughts until I reach my destination.

Was really Ethan Cooper the protagonist of that scene last night?

A murderer who visits the crime scene isn't so wise from him, and yet he was bold enough to call me "not very intelligent".

Bah! He's a killer after all, stop giving it so much importance...

But I mean, there's something in him that makes me doubt about his intentions, there's something in him that yells from inside him "run". There's something about him warning me that to keep looking beyond the cover of the book won't be any good for me...I know there's something in him that makes me burst every time as well. I remember his breathing so close to me...

Agh! Are you serious? Take him off your mind, Kailey. What is wrong with you? HE'S A MURDERER!...

At last, I arrive my apartment, and I feel so relieved, as arguing about morality with yourself is definitely very exhausting.

I take the elevator to go against time, I rapidly mark the fifth floor and when the doors open, I find my neighborhood, Mr. Martins.

Oh, please! Not again!

—Miss Kailey, how are you? I didn't hear you coming here last night.

I can't believe it! Should I give him explanations about why I didn't arrive my home last night?

If looks could kill, I'm completely sure that I would become a murderer too.

—Mr. Martins, thank you for your concern -I fake a subtle smile-. -But I must remind you that I'm a young woman that still can enjoy of going out without having to come back to my apartment -I falsely smile-.

—Of...of course, Miss Kailey. I was just worried about you, don't take it wrong.

—Don't worry, I just want to get inside my bedroom and rest. Could you please give me space to continue my path? -I try to pave the way- Thank you!

Without even verbally answering my request, Mr. Martins gets out of the way so I can reach the end of the hall.

When I open the door of my apartment, I find as all days the best greeting. Bagui is an exceptional dog!

How different would our world be if we learned to be like them!

After petting him for a while, I begin my investigation. I take out from my purse that file and start inquiring into Ethan Cooper's past.

A small feeling of fear takes over my thoughts, and for some strange reason, I believe that as I dig deeper, the idea of him being one of the most accused murderers in the whole city tortures me.

I start reading bit by bit every accusation. There is a total of 16. Even so, it's unbelievable that many of those crimes haven't been mentioned in the news.

Might this turn out to be like the guy who attacked me that night?

I try to look in my computer different sources and references, and I find ridiculous that there's not a single thing that could help me clarify this complex puzzle. And to my surprise, I once again find out that these crimes "never happened" to the eyes of the world.
