Severus and Lily landed on the hill next to Hogsmeade and hurried back to his chambers.

The weight of the evening bore down upon them, but the crushing sentiment that the night had held was far from unbearable.

Once they reached Severus's rooms, he locked his door with a flick of his wand as Lily stood in front of him, gazing up into his dark eyes.

They both understood the meaning behind her kiss.

Words were not necessary.

Severus slowly lifted his hand and removed the veil that covered Lily's face.

As she glanced towards his palm, he took his other hand and carefully pulled the hood of her robe down to reveal her mass of vibrantly red hair.

Severus let his hands gently cradle Lily's face as they gazed at each other for a long, impactful moment.

It was a mutual decision, an unintentionally coordinated movement as they both closed their eyes and stepped towards each other, stopping only when the swell of Lily's belly brushed against Severus's firm body.

Lily placed her hands on his chest and let him continue to hold her face in his hands as their lips softly collided once more.

She took her time, sweetly brushing her plump cherries against Severus's thin mouth, hoping to nibble him until he opened up to her, which he did, after she gave him several loving nips.

Severus let one hand fall from Lily's face and slip down to her side as he dared to part his lips and let his tongue snake hesitantly into Lily's waiting mouth, wanting to explore more of his beloved.

Lily whimpered into their kiss and teased his tongue with hers, goading him on as she shifted where she stood.

Severus was too frightened to end their kiss, terrified of Lily pulling away from him, but he didn't realize she was uncomfortable on her feet.

To gently guide him, Lily took a step back, then another until she was able to sit on the sofa and pull Severus down beside her.

Severus let his hand glide into Lily's hair as their kiss grew hungrier and deeper.

Her lips were as sweet and as juicy as ripe fruit and as unprepared as Severus was, he was certain that that was the best day of his life up to that point, the day he finally kissed Lily.

Really, it was better than that because Lily was the one who had kissed him.

Severus let her lead them, in front of Voldemort and in the privacy of his rooms.

It was Lily who had taken the bold steps to openly acknowledge the passion they had long kept secret and silent from each other.

It was also Lily who placed her hands on Severus's shoulders and crawled into his lap as best her belly and robes would allow, an action that did finally get Severus to end their kiss and pull away, staring up at Lily with a confused frown as she straddled him.

"Lily.......?" Severus asked in a breathless gasp.

His black trousers did well to hide the shape of his arousal, but he kept squirming under his darling to try and keep it from brushing offensively against her thigh.

"......I want you, Sev." Lily whispered as she raised a hand and let her fingers comb lovingly through a few strands of Severus's black hair, staring down at him with her green eyes glowing, "......Don't you want me?"
