"Stop for a moment, Malfoy." Harriet huffed tiredly as they rushed through the stone corridor, "Stop for a moment."

A worried frown clouded Draco's face as he paused their painfully slow walk to help Harriet rest against the wall while she panted for breath.

"I didn't know I'd be this weak." She mentioned with a chuckle.

"You've just given birth, Snape." Draco snapped as his gray eyes scanned over her, "You should be in bed resting, not hobbling towards a battlefield."

Draco watched Harriet tiredly wipe her eyes before she sniffed, let go of the wall, and clung to him again as they resumed their approach.

The area of the castle they journeyed through had been mostly abandoned once the majority of the remaining conflict concentrated in the courtyard.

Draco and Harriet wore frowns of dismay as they passed one fallen fighter after another, most not on Voldemort's side,

"I think that man was a Death Eater." Draco nodded at one forgotten body as they passed, "I saw him at a meeting once...."

"Doesn't matter." Harriet shook her head, "It's still sad. Death is death......He's gotten so many to believe him, it's.....it's honestly quite frightening."

"All that will end today." Draco nodded.

"No, it won't." Harriet shook her head, ".....But he will."

As they rounded one last corner, they finally reached the center of the castle.

Harriet's pulse quickened knowing the courtyard lay just beyond the heavy doors.

Draco frowned, but they encountered one final interruption before they could continue to their ultimate destination.

"Harriet!"

They both turned to see who had called her name.

Her eyes widened as her younger brother ran down the massive staircase towards her.

"ELLERY!" Harriet shrieked in happy surprise.

Her eyes widened as she opened her arms and let him rush into her waiting embrace.

"I haven't seen you in ages!" She laughed as she gave him a tight squeeze.

"You either." Ellery frowned as he accepted Harriet's hug until they broke apart. He blinked curiously at the slight roundness that still remained on her abdomen, barely hinted at by her loose shirt, "Are you alright? You look very pale."

"I'm fine, El." Harriet smiled as she rustled his dark hair, "When this is all over, there's someone I'd like you to meet though."

Ellery nodded, "Well, before then, I need to give you these."

Harriet and Draco watched the boy offer her a small, velvet sack, which she accepted and pocketed as she asked, "What's this?"

"Grandmum's Gobstones." Ellery nodded, "I saw them in your room the last time I went home and.....and I sort of borrowed them to keep myself company."

Ellery frowned sheepishly but Harriet grinned.

"Anyway, I dunno......I think they should be with you now. Maybe they'll bring you luck?" He shrugged.

"Thanks, El." Harriet nodded, "I'll keep them with me."

A horrible screech erupted from the courtyard outside before Harriet nodded at her brother, "Go! Get out of sight and hide somewhere safe until I can finish him off, alright?"
