While Harriet took her afternoon nap, Severus quickly journeyed to Malfoy Manor and found Lily sitting at her bedside.

"Hey, Sev!" She smiled as her husband quietly glided into the room, "It should be another hour before Ellery gets home, I was just getting ready to go and wait for him!"

"I'm afraid that won't be necessary, my love." Severus answered.

Melancholy dripped through his low drawl in a sort of terror that instantly flattened Lily's smile.

"........What are you talking about?" She asked.

Lily moved to stand from her seat at Harriet's bedside, but Severus stepped forward, took her hands, and gently motioned for her to stay seated.

"He has sent the train back to Hogwarts.....and all of its passengers with it, for how long, I don't know.....Why.....I'm not exactly certain yet. I only know that the grounds have been surrounded by members of his military and he passed no notice whatsoever of any of this to me first." Severus revealed in a low whisper.

Lily's eyes widened as her breath became more and more laboured while shock crashed over her.

She covered her mouth with her hands to prevent a noise of anguished surprise escaping her lips until Severus leaned down and placed a gentle kiss there as he whispered, "......Watch over our daughter, my love, I will return as soon as I can."

As he moved to apparate away, Lily made a motion to rise, but Severus stilled her with a single glare of warning devotion.

After he slipped out of the room and apparated away, Lily gently stroked the ends of her daughter's dark hair while tears rolled down her cheeks as she watched her eldest child sleep.

Her emerald eyes moved down to the heavy swell of Harriet's belly as she closed her eyes and hoped that Voldemort would still his plans for just a little while longer.......

With Harriet removed from the search, the hunt for Horcruxes had gone agonizingly slowly.

Finally, her group of friends and Tom managed to destroy all but two, Tom himself and Nagini.

Hermione had used a concealed spell to send communication to Harriet through the air late the evening the last of the undiscovered soul parts had been found and destroyed.

She enjoyed a celebratory dinner of fish and nuts with Tom and Ron around the campfire an hour later.

Her amber eyes remained fixed on the dancing flames while they all ate in silence.

"Just two more to go now." Tom said with a confident smirk.

"You're going to kill yourself?" Ron asked as he furrowed his brow.

"No, you idiot! I'm going to kill my other part, the one that's older.....scarred by his own mistakes! The inferior version of myself!" Tom hissed.

Hermione kept her eyes down as Ron blinked and nodded, "Oh......right."

"The only question left is how do we get to the snake?" Tom snapped as he turned his brooding stare to the fire.

"Harriet could probably help us with that." Ron nodded, "Didn't she say the snake is usually with him at Malfoy Manor?"

"Ron!" Hermione gasped, "Harriet can't help with that now! Don't you remember how close she is to-"

"-Oh......" Ron nodded again as he remembered their complicated situation.
