Timothée

My hand was once again gripped tightly in hers and it had become my favourite feeling in the world. Arlo pulled me out of the restaurant with a sense of determination that was honestly attractive.

A feeling of sadness washed over me fairly quickly as i watched her drop her head to avoid being seen with me. I knew it wasn't necessarily about me but it still hurt. I on the other hand want to shout at the top of my lungs that i'm just hanging out with her but clearly she doesn't feel the same.

When we eventually made it outside of the restaurant i became very aware of the cut on my eyebrow as the cold air hit it almost immediately creating a slight stinging feeling. It was almost October and the weather was quickly dropping in our beautiful city.

I've always loved winters in New York even though it gets insanely cold. Something about a white Christmas had become a tradition in my life and whenever i'm away from it I get pretty homesick.

I was brought out of my mental ramble when Arlo dropped her hand from mine. The bitter air quickly evaded my hand which made me miss her soft skin on mine. She walked beside me and stuck her hands into her pant pockets. I wasn't completely certain if I had a concussion or not but I didn't seem to have a filter and was letting every thought blurt out to her.

"Why did you decline my follow request?" I looked over at her just in time to watch her eyes bludge in discomfort. She shrugged her shoulders and dug her hands deeper into her pockets.

"Because you have fan accounts that track who you follow." She said simply.

"No one does that." I said in almost a cynical way. She turned and looked at me with her eyebrows raised. Just from that she somehow mocked my optimismin people. "Your just skeptical." She gasped dramatically and I laughed at her. "Even if they did, why can't i follow you?" She clicked her tongue and turned to focus on wherever we were walking towards.

"Cause then your army of fans would find me." She said in a monotone voice.

"And what's wrong with that, huh?" She raised her eyebrows at me again to gesture that the answer was somehow simple.

"Everything." Before I could ask her more she stopped out the front of a Seven Eleven. She entered very quickly and I didn't hesitate to follow after her. I looked around at all the candy that caught my attention and instinctively picked up a packet of cheetos. Arlo went off to the frozen aisle and I watched as she crouched down and weighed her options.

She pulled open the clear door and bent down and picked up a packet of frozen peas. I didn't question why, but instead I tried to figure out why a Seven Eleven was suddenly selling frozen peas.

She tossed the bag elegantly up in the air once to flip it to read the label. For some odd reason I found this insanely hot and watched as her eyes flicked up to my face. I had to remind myself to close my mouth to avoid looking like a complete idiot.

She walked over to me and came quite close. I watched as her hand came up to mine and pulled the Cheetos out of my grip. She replaced the orange bag with the peas and I cringed as the cold plastic caused a shiver to run down my body.
