Peter and I drove to where an thirteen-year-old would hold his birthday party. I would be shooting pictures and showing my new intern how I do what I do.

When Peter came to me about his side hobby, I was amazed. The kid is going to college, is Spider-Man, and has an internship at Stark Industries. And now he wants to intern at mines! Where he finds time to relax is a riddle to me.

I parked the car and went over the list. "Do we have a full battery in the camera?"

Peter checked it. "Yes."

"An empty memory card?"

"Yes."

"A laptop that works?"

"Yes."

"Lights?"

"Yes, but the battery is almost done."

I sighed and searched through one of my many bags. "Here, two full ones."

Peter packet everything up so we could carry it easier towards the house. He took a bag with the lights and the laptop, and I took the camera and new batteries.

Hey, he's my intern. I can let him do the heavy lifting.

The two of us walked up to the house and the mother of the birthday boy saw us coming. She opened the door and let us through to the backyard.

"Miles is almost ready." The woman said. "He will be down in a few seconds. In the mean time, do you want anything to drink? Eat? We have cake."

I shrugged. "A water is enough for me." I turned to Peter. "Pete?"

"For me, too." The kid smiled and placed the bag down on a chair.

The mother walked away as we set up. I looked up and smiled. No rain cloud in sight. Sun shining nicely and not too much into the backyard. Perfect.

"Quiz." I scared Peter. "What is important in your search for a good place to make a photo?"

The brunette boy looked around with a frown, before turning to me with a smile. "The lightning. There needs to be as much natural lightning as possible, but the sun must not block the lens."

"Unless?"

"Unless it's what the client wants. Like a... a halo of sorts, but then you have to use a different light to counter the sun's light."

I nodded with a proud smile. "You're learning fast kid. I feel like a proud mother."

Peter beamed even more after my praise. "Thank you, Ms Mader."

We set up and, slowly, the children came in. Well, more out, but whatever.

Peter and I greeted them all, and started shooting. We joked with the parents and family, but mostly the kids. Because that was who we were here for.
