Chapter 19: Father and Son Meet

Your POV

He did it... he became number one...

Why do I feel so angry?

I know why...

He doesn't deserve it...

After everything he's done...

After abusing me, my siblings, mom...

After killing Touya...

He doesn't deserve the title of number 1.

I knew it was coming ever since All Might retired...

But seeing it become official...

It lit a fire inside me.

The Bakusquad and I were watching the Hero Rankings live, first of all, seeing Keigo was weird. I almost didn't recognize him, but the hair and the wings were unforgettable. Not to mention his carefree attitude and sass. But... when they announced that he was number one, I stood abruptly from my seat and stormed into my room. I slammed the door shut and screamed in rage. I picked up my books and threw them to the wall. I started throwing everything I could to the floor in a blind rage. I heard my door fly open as I threw something without realizing what it was. "Freezer burn!" I heard Bakugou shout.

Then I heard glass shatter. I looked at what I had just thrown and saw it shattered on the floor. It was the picture of Touya and I. I knelt beside it and picked up the broken picture frame. I sniffed as tears welled in my eyes. "Y/n." Bakugou said sternly.

I looked up with teary eyes and saw Bakugou standing next to me with a concerned expression. "...I-" I tried to speak but a sob choked me.

Tears escaped my eyes and I turned back to the broken frame. I gently took the picture out of the frame and hugged it close. "After everything he did... he doesn't deserve to be number one." I choked out.

Bakugou knelt beside me and put his arm around me. "Y/n. I know. He did a lot to hurt you, Icy Hot, and your mother. It sucks. But he's number one now. As much as it sucks, you'll have to accept it." he said, trying to comfort me.

I shook my head and said, "It's not just that."

I held the picture out and Bakugou asked, "Your older brother?"

"It's what Endeavor did to him." I spat out refusing to refer to that monster as my father anymore.

Bakugou tilted his head like a dog. I wiped my tears and sniffed. "Touya is dead because of him." I spat with venom.

I could hear Bakugou take a sharp inhale. I felt his arms wrap around me. He helped me stand and held me close to his chest. The smell of caramel invaded my senses, calming me down instantly. I slowly wrapped my arms around Bakugou. We sat in silence for a few minutes. Bakugou finally broke the silence and said, "Come on, the other extras must be worried about you."

I nodded slowly and walked out of my room with Bakugou. 

Time skip

A day or so later, I was sitting on the couch again with the Bakusquad when the Dekusquad ran downstairs and said, "Guys! Turn on the news!" 

Kirishima turned on the news and we were met with Endeavor fighting a Nomu. And he was losing. I gasped, leaning on the edge of my seat. I felt a small flame flicker on my face. Watching Endeavor dying. 

I thought back to a short while ago, right before the festival

Flash back

Somehow, Father had gotten my number. He was texting me nonstop.

End of Flash back

Shoto started shouting, "I'm watching you old man!"

I grit my teeth and shouted, "Endeavor! You better beat this guy! You better make it out alive so you can make it up to me you bastard!"

I didn't care that the entire class, including Aizawa, could hear me. I didn't care. I needed to say it. "I'm watching you! If you die then I'll never be able to forgive you! You'll never be able to make it up to me!" I shouted.

To the rest of the class, it sounded like I was shouting that if he died, then I'd never forgive him for dying. Something a normal child would say. But to Shoto, who also probably got the same talk from Endeavor, and to Bakugou and Midoriya, who knew some of the story, it meant that he'd never be able to make up for the past. As the fight went ended, I thought he had died. That is... until the newscasters found Endeavor standing with his fist up. I sighed in relief and buried my face into my hands. 

Dabi's POV

'Wow, impressive fight.'

I walked out and said, "I didn't think I'd see you here... Endeavor."

I surrounded me, Hawks, and Endeavor in a ring of flames. "What do you want, villain?" Endeavor spat at me.

'Wow, he doesn't even recognize his own son.' I tried to attack him, but then Mirko jumped out of no where and attacked me. The portal thing that the doctor was using began to swarm me. "Don't you die on me! Enji Todoroki!" I shouted before being teleported out.

I landed back in the base and stopped for a minute. 'Man, talk about a trip down memory lane. Seeing Father AND Keigo. Wow.'

Keigo really was a fun kid back in school. He came over a lot, not that Endeavor would remember that, he was always busy training his little masterpiece. Y/n and Keigo got along really well... I wonder if they still keep in contact.

I wonder if he remembers me...

Well if he sees Y/n often, he must remember me. Seeing her back when we accidentally kidnapped her made me think I was looking through some time travel mirror. Seriously, she looks exactly like me when I was younger, minus that burn scar on her forehead... Speaking of... Where'd she get that? 

Only time will tell I guess.
