"Where are they?" I am in full blown panic mode right now. My parents aren't here! Where could they be?

"They said they are on their way. Calm down it's not good for the babies." He's right, I need to calm down.

"Ok Alexa, you need to push." No no no. I can't do this! No way!

"Adam I'm so scared." I whispered to him as he took my hand.

"Everything will be ok. I promise."

"Ok, push!" I pushed with all I could and I didn't even know if it was working. All of the sudden, I heard a baby screaming. Is, is it ok?

"There's one girl!" The nurse took her somewhere I couldn't see.

"You're doing great Alexa, keep going." More? It's been like, 10 minutes!

"One more, just one more." I sat back and heard another cry.

"You did it baby, I told you you could do it." Adam kissed my sweaty forehead. Holy hell I just brought two lives into the world.

The doctor and one of the nurses brought over our two little babies. They placed one in my arms and one in Adam's. I looked at my little angel and started to cry. She's all mine. I love her.

"Aren't they gorgeous?" I saw Adam admiring our other daughter. They are perfect. Absolutely perfect.

The nurse came and took her right out of my arms. Then they took the other one from Adam.

"Where are you taking them?" I heard the panic on my voice.

"We just need to clean them up and make sure they are healthy. Don't worry, they will be in the nursery." Oh. I didn't even get to hold the other one. I don't want them to go. I just want to hold them forever.

I didn't even realize I had a few tears still falling down my face.

"What's wrong?"

"I didn't even get to hold Lyla."

"You named them already?"

"Yes. You held Lyla and I was holding Ella. I told you."

"They will be back in a little while. Just rest for now." Adam was at my bedside holding my hand. I looked at his watch and was in shock.

"It's only 10:45?" We got here an hour and 15 minutes ago and I've already given birth. Wow, go me.

"Ya I know that was quick. Like, really quick."

"Looks like I'm superwoman." We started laughing and were interrupted by people coming into the room.

"Did we miss it?" My parents were frantic when they came in.

"Yea, you just missed it. Why weren't you here?"

"Some asshole rear ended us on the way here. Stupid bastard was drunk." My father was steaming.

"Zack calm down. We are here now, that's what matters," My mom came and sat next to me. "Were you scared? I'm so sorry I wasn't here."

"I was, but Adam was here and he made everything better."

"I'm so happy you two found each other. What you have is very special." My mom was right. I found love this young in life and I'm so happy.

About an hour went by, and my parents went home. It was just me and Adam.

"Do you wanna go see the babies?"

"Yes! Let's go!" We ran down the hall and found the nursery. We looked in the window to see three rows of babies swaddled in red white and blue blankets.
