The closet door opens, and I see the boy's face looking down at me. He tries to say words but is memorized by me.
I sit in the closet holding the rust stained card with the blue ink in my right hand, and two identical white cards in my left. One of the white cards were wrinkled and smelled like feet and perfume. I looked up at Mickey and said, "Do you know who I am?
I sit at his desk and pull up the screen with my profile on it, yet the profile wasn't on today's date, but the date I left the future. I scroll through the feed and go to the end of it, where it says which day I joined.
"Hey what day is it today?" I turn towards the confused past Mickey.
"Umm well it is Saturday," Mickey said. "Friday, May 5th..."
I look at the computer starting at today's date and what date I signed up. Exactly the same, "What time is it?"
"It is 1:09 PM..." I hear Mickey start to say.
I look at the post, and I updated before a post at 1:12 PM about the Sox winning 6-1 in the game today. "Mickey turn on the Sox game."
He flips the channel to the sports channel, and one of the batters hits the ball in the bottom of the ninth inning and scores 1 point, making the score 6-1. We watch as the last batter comes into the game, striking out, and the final score being 6-1, White Sox win.
The time shows on the game, it was 1:12 PM. I look at Mickey, "Do you understand what has happen?"
"Wait you experienced this before?" Mickey said.
"Mickey, I know all of it, I know what has happened and what may still happen if we don't change it now."
"How much you know?" He asked still confused of who I was and how much I knew.
"My name is Ignis, you and I were partners, I passed so many tests that when I woke up from a coma you called me Flame, and started telling me about this thing called the Flock." I said trying to flirt with him, since he did like me.
"Wait so how did you get back here? Usually time travel happens before a coma." Mickey said as if he knew the aftereffects already.
"Well I remember you leaving the room, telling me the get some rest...." I continue on with the story. I tell Mickey how I couldn't sleep that night because I didn't know where he went and where exactly I was. So before the 10 PM check with the nurse I ran out into the streets of Chicago. I ran down Adams Street, soon until I came by Michigan Ave, and then running the Mag Mile. Through that mile I began to experience a change in the time. I felt as if I wasn't in Chicago anymore, and the Lake wasn't as close to me as I remember. The building got smaller and a blue light kept flashing. I was soon seeing restaurants and ended up running back in time.
"Are you making this stuff up?" Mickey said looking at me with a straight face.
"No," I shook my head. "Why would I lie to the one who likes me."
Mickey froze, he was surprised I knew that secret. "How, how'd you know???" Mickey was about to pee his pants in embarrassment. He looked around the room.
I got up and tried to refresh his memory. I snapped my fingers and he changed. "Flame?" I hear his voice crack.
"Mero! You remember!" I kiss him on the lips and in walks Geoff.
"Hey, boss..." Mickey says as Geoff walks in.
"What in the world are you doing Rodregos?" Geoff says with a surprised look on his face.
Mickey blushes, "Mr. Lajeany, I..." He couldn't say anymore as he was almost wetting himself.
I step in, "Hello, Mr. Lajeany. I believe we meet in a different time passage."
"Time passage?" Geoff's voice rises as I said that. He look at me and notices my birthmark.
The burnt spot on my neck is covered up by my hoodie. I touch neck as a burning starts up. I vibrate my hand to make it get cold. As Geoff tries to understand who I am and where I came from, he realizes I was the one who messed up the Saturday Prairie Meet.
"Ignis Ersupreo...at long last we meet. Welcome to A.E.R.Z. my Run Away Error Zero."
