Today started out as a dark morning. I didn't know what going on as it came to be the start of my whole new life. I started to read the pages on the journal; blank page, one after another after another. I wonder how this book could sense my power and didn't quite get why it only opened once for me. Once I closed it, the pages locked shut and spit out a tiny flame with a bit of smoke, like it was an oven baking a Chicago Style pizza. Yet, the book didn't burn, but when I touched it my name scorched into the bottom left of the cover.

I packed away the notebook in my back pocket and sped to the Pillar. I ran into the shut doors and police were surrounding the building. I tried not to be noticed and rushed behind the crowd standing at the 'Do Not Cross' tape and barricades. I walked up to the front and signaled a officer. "Hey, can I speak with you?"

The officer replied, "Yes miss, what you want to know?"

"Why is this building blocked off?" I replied.

"We are investing the scene for what had happened last night."

"Well what did happen?"

"A man was seen falling from the top of the building at 9:02 pm, yet when people said he hit the ground, only a shadow was left with a blood stain."

"That sounds awful."

"It is... and this is how we still don't know who the victim was and what was going on last night at the top of the building."

"Well, I work here..." Shows my badge and signals to him that I am important so don't mess with me. "Can you please let me in?"

"Well miss, we aren't allowed to let anyone in or out..." I make him stop and hold my hand up in front of his face. Time freezes and my notebook opens in my hands and write down Understanding of oneself

I push him over and grab his keys to open the Pillar's doors. I then fling them back and they land on his belt hook. I close the door, step into the open elevator, press 107, and unfreeze time as I travel upward to the crime scene.
