I blur out of the field, I wake up at home in my bed, covered up with my blue polka dot blanket and my fluffy pillows on my head. A beanie baby stares me in the face with a deep dark look to it, as if it was nonexistent. I poke it, and freak out as my hand phases through it.
I realize I was nervous, since my hands were shaking and my hand was passing through the beanie baby. I throw my hands up and the beanie baby goes flying.
It lands on my dresser and I roll off my bed and tumble onto the floor. I grab my robe off the coat rack and slip it on as the blanket was still over me.
"Mom?!" I yell slipping my right arm through the wrong sleeve, and finally waking up and realizing I need to turn it around. I start to switch my robe around, when I hear a noise outside my door. I hold my hands together, starting to make a light.
"Ok, who is it?" I growl and my door as one of my siblings stand outside my bedroom.
"Hiya Eggs," my little brother opens the door and it slams against the wall.
"What do you want, Scotty?" I say to my him slurring the S in his name.
"Are ya ok?" Scotty says jumping onto my bed.
"Yeah, I am fine, do you mind?"
"Mind what Eggs?" He cocked his head.
"Nevermind..." I say and go into my closet.
Scotty flops back onto the bed, and bounces upward like a trampoline. He springs higher and higher, messing up the sheets and pillows that I had made perfectly of the bed.
Scotty jumps too high, a hits the ceiling. I freeze and race out of the closet. I zap on my shirt and pants, and just as my socks slip on, Scotty falls into my arms, shocking me by poking my cheek.
"Scotty, you have to be careful." I drop him onto my bed and slide down the stair railing. Nervous of falling off, I phase though the stairs and land the garage storage room.
Inside, I pull a trowel out of my side. I wasn't bleeding, back I still felt the pain. The door creeks open, and a car was in the garage.
The the passenger door was open and a man with a fedora was holding out his hand.
The jet black car, with its black leather seats and color changing neon headlights, was roaring its engine, making an exhaust that smelled like a coal mine during the month of July from 10 AM to 4 PM.
"You are Ignis Ersupreo, correct?" The man said.
"Yeah, who are you sir?" I question the driver.
He starts the car and drives out of the garage. We turn out of the subdivision. At Route 34, I ask again. "Sir, who are you." I scan his face and find out who he is.
Keith "Kurt" Gram, he works at A.E.R.Z. along with Mickey and Geoff. Yet, I have seen him before, in the blue car. Kurt was one of Mickey's friends. And no data is found about him.
"Ignis, what did you do?" Kurt says. "The Black Pillar is fading away for some reason and all of the events in the future are changing because of it.
"But, but..."
"But, nothing. You realize we are the good guys right? We are trying to make it were the next millennium won't make this planet into a black out. But you have already started that by changing the time frame."
"I am sorry, can I see Mickey?" I pled to Kurt as we zoom down I-55.
"Where do you think I am taking you? Black Pillar is vanishing, and so is our research. You, Mickey, and the rest of us have supernatural abilities and this is what we are trying to prevent from happening."
I slouch down in the passenger seat as we take a ramp into Lower Wacker. The car stops and I step out. I take my hands and touch the car with Kurt still in it.
"What the hell are you doing?" Kurt screams.
"Don't get out of the car if you want to live. I'm going into the future!"
"Weren't you just there?"
"Yes, but I need to go back to the future."
"This will screw everything up"
"It will make the world spin backwards, even though time will be moving forward."
"So your gonna do a freeze frame?"
"I am going to try."
I vibrate the car and make the lights flash. We start going in reverse back down the highway, until the gunshot pops and full speed rushes down I-55 under the Upper and Lower Wacker Drive's exit.
The red streak lives again, but now it is traveling to fast and no one can see it, Kurt is different now and I don't know what to do. Time has pasted to much and I just stopped somewhere across Lake Michigan. There is no live here and we can't get a hold of anyone. I hope I can find Mickey soon, maybe he could help...
