Run (Old Version)

Chapter 4

As I sat inside a closet, filled with books and a jacket. Music plays from a cd player, and a computer with Windows 95, sits on a desk in the room. I peek out the closet, and see a shadow walk in, his hood up, and his face not visible.

I close the closet door, and reach inside the coat's pocket. I find the same note I received before, but it is blue and has a rust color stain on it. I find a set of keys in the coat as well and put them in my pocket. I hear shadow make a noise outside from the closet, and hear him yell and another person. I try to camouflage it into the closet, but it was too late, the shadow had already seen me. He was the one named Mero, his real name is Mickey.

 Mickey pulled me out of the closet and sets me in a chair. "What are you doing here? Didn't you read the full note?" Mickey was angry at me and wanted me to answer.

"Was that the scanner by chance?" I say in a frail voice.

"Yup, but you're not in the system." Mickey said.

"I might have destroyed it, it didn't reconnect after I unplugged it."

There was a long pause before someone spoke. Then I finally said, "I could fix it really quickly, I think I know how."

Mickey looked at me confused. I ran off into the office and grabbed the machine, bringing it back to Mickey's room and building the device right next to him in split seconds.

"Ok, I am done!"

"How you do that so quickly, I can't even use my powers that fast." Mickey was amazed by what I did, he plugged in the device and hooked it how to his computer, and the machine powered up.

I stood under the machine as it identified me.

Analyzing...Analyzing...Ignis...Ignis... Ersupreo...Done! Data complete! Welcome Ignis! 

"Whoa, that felt weird!" I said jumping off the machine and sitting at Mickey's desk, hacking into his computer and learning about his life.
