It's now time to announce the Midnight, Moonfest Prom Queen and King, before that I'd like us to the remember the tragedy that struck us not long ago and the real reason we are here as a remembrance to a well-liked student of ours Ryan Joinson'. there was a long, hushed silence as the students took a momentous sixty-second trepid moment of silence. Mr Lawson proceeded to continue his sentiment stance changing whilst his face relaxed. He had a formal black suit on for the occasion as his eyes squinted surveying the room taken in the ambience.
"But now without further ado - I will like to announce ...
Mr Jasper Mccolins as the Midnight Moonfest Prom King"
There was an unholy amount of applause as Jasper made his way to the front of the lit ballroom he looked down to see the eager, anticipating faces of the teenage damsels, who all wanted to be crowned Queen next to Jasper.
"And now the moment all you girls have been waiting for -- with a surprising amount of votes and the girl I will like to announce Queen is
..Miss...Oliva Morrow
There was a deafening round of applause when Oliva made her way to the litted stage, as she stood next to Jasper; causing a spectacle she leaned to kiss him receiving a number of catty catcalls from the brutish boys in the corner of the room.
"Is there any words you would like to add from either of you' Mr Lawson the principal added, Oliva grabbed the microphone and flashed a wide smile at the audience.
" I would just like to thank everyone that has voted for me .. and Jasper for asking me to be his date.. my father for this Alexandra Wang masterpiece.. my makeup artist Charlotte for achieving this look, umm my mother and father for blessing me with their genes.. plastic surgeon Dr Wo for these amazing implants and my friends for believing in me.
Jasper had completely zoned out from Oliva's self absorbant speech, he was thinking about how cleaning sponges could soak up water and compared this too how the crowd was soaking up Oliva's nonsensical speech about herself. He found himself gazing at Aria in the midst of this thinking who had her auburn hair in long waves reminiscent of the crashing tide in Santina Island. Jasper scanned her dress which was a simple emerald figure-hugging long dress which drew attention to her eyes. He expected that was the reason why she'd choose to wear the gown her ample breast had risen to the surface, Jasper began to flush as he had never seen Aria in this light before. She looked every bit seductive and Jasper could not help but picture unsavoury acts between them, he was a boy with urges after all.
Aria drew her eyes to meet his and for a minute Jasper saw a type of misery he had never seen in anyone before. He wondered what she was thinking and feeling, but just then the back of the room door bolted forward and a musky fishy aroma evaporated the room.
There stood Serena and her follow clan who all entered the room behind their leader.
*Serena*
Yes, I had arrived, all heads turned to me I knew I was glowing. I had my evening escapade to the Island and caught a couple of sailors on their boats. Dances were never really my thing I never was one to enjoy silly human activities but I could not let Oliva sour all the fun. So she had won the crown, it was positioned squarely on her extension hairpiece; there was nothing real about the girl and money can never buy true beauty.
My eyes scanned the room and caught my own reflection on the mirrored glass, gosh I was magnificent hair laying in natural waves down to my back, my face had this luminous glow that reflected the silver lights of the dance floor disco ball. My pale blue sequinned gown was reminiscent of a future ice queen, the gasps in the air hummed in my ears as my slow movements caused the dress to transform shapes.
I looked at Oliva and smirked she was never one that could rival me, she was silently fuming after the seconds of admiration the crowd had given to her, which had now been adorned to me, but I could not care less of the people who had flooded the room nor of the many guys gathered luring over me although they could have all so easily been my prey. I only cared for one person in the room
*Jasper*
He was the only one not staring at my direction. He was so transfixed on this Aria and I smiled at my sisters because I love a complicated challenge.
I moved balanced on the 4 inched heels that clanged to my feet the click-click sound deafened the silent ballroom everyone was quietly looking at my direction watching what I was going to do. I smiled knowingly, humans always needed a leader, someone, to pave the way, someone that commanded attention and they knew that I was just that. Only less of the human an eruption of laughs caught at my throat at the thought I had only just managed to suppress it, laughing silently to myself.
The distance between Jasper and I was just a second of a millimetre now. I watched his face as he stood there looking at me. Signs of confusion masking his face as beads of sweat trickled down his handsome features.
He spoke then "what do you want, why are you here" all the right questions a person would ask if another person had suddenly arrived at an event and headed directly towards them.
I looked at those greenly hazel eyes then and said "You".
Just then my sisters blocked the entranceway scattered youths now panicking as confusion dropped in one of the older teachers said "Now that's enough girls this is supposed to be a fun event, why don't you come away from the doors now so we can leave now"...but the fun was only just starting. We had grown impatient concealing the secret we were out for blood now.
Aquaria my blonde sister grinned baring her incisors at the front of the jaw and grounded her teeth at the back jaw to expertly pulverize her prey which she was circling in on now.
"You are not going anywhere she turned to the rest of the students around her "none of you are"
A high-pitched scream erupted from my sisters then as they got ready to attack we had not fed on flesh for so long and had grown restless drawing humans onto the Island. The effort had become tedious and now, now there were no limits.
I turned my attention to Jasper who was getting ready to flee my gaze; coward
"Sisters I said it's time.
