Jasper Mccolins was frustrated with himself he should have been there for him. He missed his best friend, companion and brother. He needed to find out what really happened at the tragic scene; people said it was suicide but Jasper was reluctant to believe that his lively friend had stood at the edge of the cliffs and succumbed to the waves and succumbed to life to let it have drowned him so mercilessly.
"Class I know you we are all trying to adjust to normality; we have lost a very valued member.. but through this process, we have gained another..I'll like to introduce to the class Aria Hough said Mr Gibbson in a deep voice that had interrupted my thoughts.
I looked up frustratedly "who was this girl" I lifted my head wearily and glanced at the girl positioned at the doorframe. The girl was strikingly scenic her long auburn hair hung in layers making her pixie features very prominent, her eyes burnt a unique copper-ash gold.
There was an intense electrifying moment.. and that's when she locked eyes with me and she smiled triumphantly whilst making her way in haste to my desk the next one along was free and so she sat.
"Hey" was the first word she uttered
There was something about the girl that made him forget for a second that his friend's unearthly departure.
"Hey," Jasper replied. Then she took out her books; arranging them on the table. He stared at her side profile he elongated lashes and flawless skin had him clearly hypnotised.
"Okay class it's a new semester, and a crucial year for all you seniors, you will be observing your partners and also collecting data on them in order to complete the yearbook very important for college applications in the fall, you will need to investigate each other's lifestyles, starting with this week's assignment "food" Mr Gibbson concluded rubbing his ginger hair not altogether sure why he was setting this assignment but nevertheless he had said it. The class turned towards their partners taking the opportunity to continue gossiping under the pertinence of the assignment almost all the males had turned to look at Aria, even Mr Gibbson was sneaking a couple of looks from his desk at the front. If the rumours where anything to go by he had a parchment for young girls, by the fact that he had scored many with extra credits in exchange for secret favours almost everyone knew about, but the school board continued to employ him.
Aria turned her head sideways and sighed. He was a ruggedly handsome knight, with jet ebony hair which looked ruffled, liked he'd just trampled out of his bed. But his eyes were exquisitely a rich creme champagne shade with extracts of green the most engaging hazel eyed boy she had ever seen. His looks made her feel like he was scrutinizing her and this unnerved her. But equally, she was scrutinizing him, she had heard about the death of his friend it was all the school could talk about at the moment and she had felt sorry for him. She knew what it felt like to be the centre of gossip.
"Food" she titled her assignment then she ruled it out and engraved his name Jasper Mccolins her handwritten was delicate and scripted.
"How do you know my name" there was an accusation in his words, Jasper was bewildered.
"It's there" she meaningfully pointed at his diary, which had laid there disregarded.
Jasper shook his head in disbelief he couldn't believe his stupidity
"So what's your favourite food ?" she asked with a slowly creeping smirk escaping her laugh
"Umm - - I love all kind's of foods; I am a growing boy but the greatest though has to be pizza" Jasper had gone quite remembering the time he and Ryan had shared pizza a week before the incident at Rozerbella cafe.
"Eww, with all it's layered additional calories and coated, gluey mozzarella cheese
"Yep that would be the one," I said knowingly
she giggled teasingly her laugh faulting promiscuous
"So what's your favourite food" I queried
"Wel-l i don't eat .. anything but seafood it's like I crave it"
"Sea-food tastes like lifeless refrigerated fish" Jasper replied
"that's what it is"
Jasper stunk into a sunken deep depression at the mention of the sea; he thought of the sea now a deep cave buried with drowned men all chiselled bodies and now his dear friend was a figure amongst them.
"Do you hate the sea .. or something?" Aria said with concern dripping from her mouth
" Something like that" he barely whispered.. there was a stony pause all the good humour from the conversation had evaporated turning into nothingness silence
"y-y-o--our friend, I am sor
I don't want to talk about it
"I just wanted to stay"; Aria continued
I DONT WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT WITH YOU OKAY" Jasper shouted a heat of burning anger rising in an eruption causing the whole class to look up from there task. He realized he had shouted and had turned red with sordid embarrassment, the whole class was looking at him with perplexed faces. He looked at Aria the sorry already registering in his expression. She looked at him raising her head in and signalling a commemorative its ok in a communicative nod in his direction.
it was getting too much the consent looking, whispering, glancing
"Mr Mccolins if you want to leave the class you have my permission to do so" concern clouding the teacher's expression, Jasper walked out of the room without a second glance back he stumbled like a man carrying a heavy worry on his back, troubled and pained forever.
