Several weeks later
"Aria" someone shouted from the distance, she swirled around, a smile was creeping in on her face he made her happy, she made her way to him and said "You really have to stop doing that "
"Doing what," he grinned mischievously
"Shouting my name, "she was irritated
"Or what" he snickered
"You; Jasper a-r-e
"the most gorgeous, athletic, temptingly - edible mortal walking this earth"the self-conceited smugness shown through his gaping smile.
"Ohh I I didn't even know that those words existed in your vocabulary"Aria's stared at Jasper they where faced next to each other her face teasing a shocked surprise and she blushed at his suggestion that she liked him in that way.
"You've underestimated me"
"And you've just not tempted me," she said slyly
The bell unexpectedly rang causing, havoc and hysteria around the school's premises. The two broke apart a shock jilt away from their closeness with the sudden haste of young adults collecting the corridors. The moment had passed and Jasper looked longingly to the distance as Aria disappeared into the abyss of people
Triford high school was a two-story stoned, Italianate building constructed entirely out of concrete, located in the conserved area of Satina Island it was remote. With small hipped roof extensions, the front facade faced south and displayed a magnificent front entrance with paired arched windows and double doors leading into the school. The doors, located in the centre of the facade, were partially covered with flat roofs. The rough-cut stone was set in regular courses. Two chimneys rose from the interior of the school through the gabled standing seam metal roof.
Even though the school had modernised the inside interior, the students were less than impressed with the refurbishment and always clustered outside for forms socialising. This had resulted in a herd of seniors waiting in the stormy green fields watching each other primitively for crumbs of classroom gossip to spread later on in the day.
*Serena*
She read her schedule; the first lesson was English she groaned underneath her breath silently. Cythnia was hunting today; leaving her with no companion. Nevertheless, the hoard of naive cheerleaders always accepted her with open arms.
The room deafened and people's faces were focused on her at the front, Jasper did not turn his point of vision to her direction this irritated and stirred an ickiness from the pit of her stomach. She fixated her eyes on the unnourished teacher with the round-framed glasses she needed him to acknowledge her in front of the class.
"Class this is Serena Carlton, she will be joining our class this semester after transferring from her social media class make her feel welcome, "said the antiquated man who was covering Ms Morrison his hair has speckles of grey and he wore a green unwashed jumper with splatters of his lunch splattered across the front he watched as she walked into the classroom "Sit anywhere for now "
The girl smiled and made her way towards the back seats. Travis Jasper's friend got up tepidly and offered his seat humbly to her.
"Travis what are you doing you're supposed to be sat here with me, "Jasper asked a mixture of confusion etched on his face this was quickly overtaking with embarrassment from his friend's abandonment, Travis shrugged and seated himself next to Millie Gardener the small anaemic girl he had been obsessing over for months. Continuing the lesson Mr Evens the substitute repeated: "The lesson today will need partnering according to the seating plan; you all will need to find background information about Shakespeare's changing love scenes in Romeo & Juliet answering questions on the sheet get to work class".
