Augustus watched the young prince as he frowned, his lips pursed into a straight line. He has heard him arguing with the older prince. Honestly, he understood where Sebastian was coming from. Steel was quite an expensive metal to get. If it's being wasted, they will find themselves using more money just to ship more of the metal. And that would not reflect well on Sebastian. He would be viewed as incompetent and reckless.
The brunnet prince grabbed two huge muffins, and a croissant. Cuddling the baked goods in his arms, staining his brown shirt in the process. He smiled at Magarate even though a frown still tainted his face. He thanked the chubby chef before exiting the kitchen.
"Don't you think you should put those in a container?" Augustus asked as he followed the prince.
"Oh no need. I'll just eat them along the way," he said casually.
"Way to where?" Augustus asked, he was genuinely curious.
He has always been fascinated by the young prince. He seemed to be always preoccupied and hardly around the castle, yet he didn't consume any formal responsibilities like Sebastian. He was the same age as his sister Hazel. That made him twenty-one. He had the same brunnet hair as Sebastian, which they clearly inherited from their mother Elizabeth. However, Ronaldino also inherited her stormy grey eyes.
When the young prince didn't respond, Augustus was slightly annoyed. But he didn't dwell on that anger any longer as he saw Ronaldino take the stairs instead of going to the front door. Didn't he claim to be leaving? He trailed along, even though he had hesitated going to the east wing since he wasn't allowed on that side of the castle.
Once again Augustus was shocked by the prince when he stopped in front of the door on the second floor. He was now holding just a croissant, when he had consumed the gigantic muffins, remained a mystery to the prince of Neverland.
"You're still following me?" he asked in a bored tone.
Augustus grinned and nodded.
"I can see that," he scoffed. "I'm asking, why are you still on my heels?" he sounded frustrated rather than angry.
"Oh come on Ronnie. I just want to spend the day with you. You know...so we can bond?" he grinned cheekily at the young prince.
Ronaldino shook his head vigorously.
"Nope! Can't do," he said.
Augustus was rather amused by the blunt refusal.
"Wow! Imagine, I telling my people about the rude prince of Larmont. Who ditched me in a foreign land with nothing to do. Rudely shunning me away. That wouldn't reflect well on your kingdom," he sighed, shaking his head.
Ronaldino narrowed his eyes, before sighing in defeat.
"Fine! You can tag along. But if you utter a single word about what we'll be doing today, just know we are declared as sworn enemies," he warned.
Augustus chuckled, throwing his hands in the air. The young prince glared at him once again, before walking into the bedroom. Augustus didn't even get the chance to look around the room, as the brunnet headed straight to the balcony. The prince of Neverland gasped as the other prince disappeared over the balcony.
He rushed and peered over the rail, seeing the prince jumping from the first floor onto the ground. Then he had the nerve to beckon him to come down. Augustus was obviously confused by how he was suppose to do that. Ronaldino must have seen his predicament, as he looked suggestively at the pipe mounted against the wall.
Augustus took a deep breath, before climbing over the balcony. He made a silent prayer to the gods, before sliding down the pipe, hopping over to the window seal on the first floor. He made another prayer to not strain his ankle as he jumps to the ground.
