Everyone around the breakfast table was oblivious to the tension going back and forth between the older prince of Larmont and the second prince of Neverland. While the two kings talk politics, the queens were having a more cheerful hush conversation. Hazel and her two cousins were giggling lowly, while Ronaldino was more focused on the food, busy stuffing his face with scrambled eggs and dried bread.
Augustus could feel a set of eyes constantly staring at him. He finally succumbed to the urge to chance a glance up. But quickly diverted his gaze back to his plate after locking his eyes with the chocolate colored ones. He had hardly slept a wink lastnight, just thinking about what happened that evening.
Sebastian was also bothered by last evening's incident. He couldn't comprehend what had happened between the two of them. He was wise enough to know that rum didn't make men kiss. At least not at that amount. They were a little tipsy, but not drunk. And why he was affected like that, freaked him out a tiny bit more. No girl has ever had that kind of effect on him. Not even when she was sprawl naked on the bed.
"Son, are you looking forward to the matrimonial?" Carson suddenly asked, grinning so hard.
Sebastian gulped, focusing so much on cutting his croissant.
"Honestly father, I think it's up to the princess. Whenever she's ready," he said.
Hazel blushed profusely, lowering her gaze to her plate, as she bites her lower lip to stop the smile threatning to blossom. Carson diverted the question to her, in which she blushed harder to.
"I'm looking forward to it m'lord," she replied rather shyly.
The king seemed pleased, as he nods happily.
"I've heard you've been spending some time together. It is good to court one another. The strongest couple is the one that is in sync with each other," Carson continued.
When no one attempted to continue the topic, king Carson then changed the subject.
"What will you be busy with today Seb?" he asked, sipping his ice tea.
Sebastian swallowed the food that was already in his mouth before responding.
"I'll be running a few errands in the villages father. I also have to readjust the annual budget. Oh! I'll also be going to the local clinic. They have requested for it to be extended. And they want to discuss some few other things. Or would you like to go there father?" Sebastian inquired.
Carson shook his head, waving his hand dismissively, as he looked rather stressed.
"I'm not eager in hearing Lorenzo's requirements. He likes to patronize me with his complicated medical terms," he scoffed.
Everyone around the table laughed. Even Augustus seem to have lightened up now. Sebastian nodded, fully understanding his father.
"Will you be joining him on his conquest prince Augustus? I heard you've been shadowing my son lately," Carson chuckled, seeming amused.
Augustus blinked, his mood once again dropping to the pit of his stomach.
"Oh no! I'll spend today with the young prince," he grinned at Ronaldino who was sitting beside him.
"What?" Ronaldino grumbled, already protesting with his eyes. His cheeks were full of food, he couldn't utter more words than that.
"Oh...come on. I enjoyed our last time. I still want to learn more about you," Augustus grinned cheekily.
Ronaldino gulped the soaked food down his throat, finally being able to speak.
"Then I'll write you a self based essay. No need to come," the young prince protested.
